You gotta, in order to run as a Republican, right?

He had a slip up, and called the disputed territories in Palestine and Israel "occupied territories". He says he misspoke, has had to make it very clear that he supports Israel (and to take it a step further, one would have to assume he doesn't believe Palestinians have any right to the "occupied territories"), and I would suspect there will be a press conference, or make up event to compensate.

What's most interesting, is that this is after Christie has been accused by such bigots as Steve Emerson, as having an "Islam Problem" for treating Muslims as human beings:

or for appointing them as judges:

I had hoped Christie was at least a little above pandering, and his occasional foray into leftist politics or alliances had me optimistic, but I have to think as he gets closer to running for the Presidency, he is being told to McCain himself. That is, change his political roots and beliefs, in order to apply (and raise donations) from the radical right.

American politics are broken.

I am just surprised you liked Christie. If the leftists had to pick a republican nominee, I would think it would Rand Paul or Gary Johnson. When it comes to social issues, they are the best the right has to offer.

Christie on the other hand is a typical rino who of course like many republicans think we should involve ourselves overseas in every conflict available.

Well, it's not that he apologized, it's *why* that shows why politics are broken.

It's painfully obvious that Sheldon Adelson views himself as a near-literal kingmaker, and Christie's gaffe hurt his chances at the kingmaker's blessing in terms of campaign donations.

Christie. Apologizing.

This Christie.

Apologizing.

And they accuse us progressives of class warfare. Sadly, some of y'all believe them.

Well, it's not that he apologized, it's *why* that shows why politics are broken.
Precisely.

Regarding liking Christie, I'd say he was the most favorable of the Republicans for me. Doubt I'd ever vote for him, but I would actively vote against Hilary even if it was Santorum and Bachma...ok, no, I'd vote for myself, but I'd have to think about it twice.
