Amazon DotD: "Indiana Jones: The Complete Adventures" Blu-ray $29.99

camelcamelcamel lists 32.99 as lowest yet, so you are right, lowest ever on amazon.

Good price for 2 movies and 2 coasters.

Even knowing how much I hate it, it still shocks me just how much of a deterrent Skull is for me to ever pick this set up, even when it's on a good discount like this!

purchased this one...i almost bought it when it was $40...at this price it was a no-brainer..

Might as well just permanently lower it to 30 as this like the third time in a year they've done this deal.

good price but i might wait till it hots $20 since Thw Last Crusade and Skulls are the only good movies.
I'm not sure how to take the 2nd half of that sentence.

This is very tempting. Temple of doom is ok and skulls sucks but 2 absolutely fantastic films, 1 ok and 1 bad but finishes the set....

skulls was fun for me but i didnt really dig the aliens bit though
I had a "meh" response the first time I watched it (I blame the fact I was like, "INDY! INDY! INDY!" for most of it). Then I watched it again. It is just not good. George Lucas and Spielberg should feel bad. Like, "I'm not even going to try any more I'm just going to sell off my creations to someone who doesn't suck and..." Oh...

Anyway, I got this price matched at Best Buy because I could.

$30 is a buying price point for me. $10 a movie as I see it.

Also, about the "4th" film:

Got my box set just now price matched for 19.99, whoo hoo!

Oddly I'm most excited about Crystal Skull so I can review it for my "horrible movies" blog.

Frys shows up on bestbuys price match by the way and they have it for 19.99

Guy at the register didn't even question it. I showed him fry's sale ad on my phone and he was surprised it was 20 bucks and even more surprised frys showed up on the register (I guess he never heard of them).

I tried to price match over the phone (don't have a BB or Frys near me) but the lady actually
Checked Frys stock and it came up unavailable for shipping. I'll try a different rep today.
Heres the trick call another! (you can literally call any BBY in the country for this) I literally had to call 3 just to get How to Train Your Dragon, first checked the stock, the second had it in store so refused to ship but would match, 3rd no questions just did it.

I actually called a second time this morning and got it to go through. Very friendly rep this time.

Very helpful, I may try this to see if it works for me. My BB rep made it sound like her PC wasn't letting her complete the transaction.

$3.99 shipping kills this for me. $20 shipped is my price for this.

Thanks anyways for the heads up, though!
YMMV, But when I called BB and got the price match this morning free shipping was automatically applied (I think because the original BB price is $44.99). Worth a shot anyway.

I priced matched this at BBY last night with no problems at all.  The employee only glanced at my phone for the frys.com price, asked me if there were any more of these on the shelf so he could get one, then we and the manager needed to do the price adjustment talked about nuking the fridge for five minutes.  Much better than my other attempts at price matching at this BBY!

I also picked up The Dark Knight Returns Deluxe Edition for $9.99 (awesome deal), and Predator 3D with X-Men: DoFP movie cash.

Be careful with that Indiana Jones man, and absolutely hold onto that reciept. The discs are entombed in cardboard, and I can't begin to describe the hellish nightmare I endured getting a set where the original trilogy wasn't scratched. I had to make 3! returns, swapping out discs and everything, and STILL couldn't get a working Crystal Skulls or disc with the bonus features.

QFT! What the bloody hell Paramount?! Did they see the Weeds Complete Series blu-ray box set and go "Oh, we can definitely make a worse box set than THAT!"

I only had to do one return, but geez...

Yeah it was pretty terrible. I've never had to do 3 whole returns before, but I've had several sets (like the Aliens Quadrilogy) that I have had to exchange due to scratches from the cardboard packaging. At this point I refuse to buy any set that packages blu rays (or DVDs) in cardboard unless it's insanely cheap, it's just not worth the hassle. I know this is a big issue for a lot of people, and I know these companies are saving like $0.10 a unit by packaging them like this, but surely they are losing money from people like me who are having to exchange these sets, or who refuse to buy them altogether? I mean for fucks sake, if you are gonna charge over $50 MSRP for a few movies the least you can do is package them so that they'll last past the first few viewings. Or are they looking at it the other way, thinking people will have to buy these movies several times over to replace their damaged discs?

Uh oh, now I'm nervous for the condition my set will arrive in :whistle2:(
The best thing I can tell you is to be extremely careful getting them out, inspect them each (one set I bought actually had fingerprints on a couple of the discs :whistle2:? ) and, for the love of god, don't put them back into that cardboard coffin once you get them out. Even if you extract them all with no damage, the tiniest speck of dust or dirt that gets between the disc and cardboard will scratch the hell out of it when you put it in or take it out. And as we all know, a scratch on a blu ray is far more damning than it is on a dvd.

It may be a good idea just to cut the envelopes open and get the discs out that way. It's not like the cardboard packaging looks good anyways.

Thanks for the heads up! I hadn't heard anything about this being a potential issue, and I didn't look over the discs when I opened up the set a couple nights ago. I'll be sure to check them out tonight...

I check my discs last week- there weren't any scratches on them yet.  I'll just be careful whenever I pull them out to watch them, which obviously won't be too often.

the blu ray disks are scratch proof (unless you cut it with a buzz saw lol. i highly doubt cardboard sleaves will do anything to them
No, they aren't. Not even close. Just because they have a scratch resistance coating (effictiveness varies on the type of coating used btw, some aren't worth squat) doesn't mean they are scratch proof, particularly when rubbing them against something as rough as cardboard, and even more so if a speck of dust or sand gets between the disc and cardboard. You do know how hard a single grain of sand is right? And, unlike a DVD, a single, minor scratch can render a blu-ray completely worthless due to the way the data is stored.

I swear, I wish people could master basic google before spouting off inaccuracies such as this, plenty of other sites have discussed blu ray scratches before. Even if it doesn't happen to you, there are too many cases of the whole "cardboard packaging scratching blu rays" to ignore. And I'd really expect a CAG to know better... or have you never rented or purchased a used PS3 game before?

dude .... its not that serious lmao. and yes ive rented and brought used ps3 games and they have all been mint

I finally opened my set and tested each disc, they all came up to the title screen with no problem.  Did place them in other cases though as that packaging is pretty bad for storage.
