The Simpsons Season 16 (Blu-Ray) - $24.99 @ Amazon

That is a good price.

I usually buy my Simpsons Blus during Fox Connect's 50% off sales as they're $19.50.

I honestly have never shopped at Foxconnect before this year, and every time I was aware of the 50% off it was only for movies. How often do they have the 50% off for TV Series? I probably wouldn't mind waiting if this is something that is bound to happen sometime soon.

The last few have been movie only but they do have an everything 50% sale a few times a year.

No idea when the next one will be though.

I decided to just eat the $5 to pick up this season, I have most of the rest already anyways so it's not the end of the world. I will just wait for the 50% off sale to upgrade my Family Guy, Futrama, and How I met your mother DVD collection to Blu-Ray.

Amazon has it down to $19.99 at the moment.  Also picked up Pacific Rim 3D for $17.99 which got me free shipping to boot.  Thanks OP!

Was wondering why this thread was bumped. Amazon is matching Best Buy's price this week (was $19.99 at Target last week too). DVD is cheaper if you don't care about owning these on Blu.

Thanks for the heads up, was able to get the $4.99 difference from my order at the beginning of April.

this series has been mediocre for years imo. it should have ended after season 11
I have friends that love to argue that the turning point was season 7 or 8. I still enjoy this show though. I won't say it hasn't change because I believe it has evolved over the years with different writers and show-runners – which it should or else it would have become stale long, long ago.

Anyway, didn't come here to defend the series but I did want to ask if anyone knows anything about seasons 1-12 ever being on blu-ray? Has Fox or anyone ever commented on this?

I started buying the DVD sets, when they would come out once a year, but stopped at season 4 when I realized how much space it was going to take up. I know the older seasons wouldn't be true HD but I don't think that would bother me. The idea of being able to decrease the amount of discs needed by half is worth it to me.

I don't believe they've ever commented.

I wouldn't bet on them doing it before they caught up on the "current" Seasons though.

I can see them putting out a set of the complete series years from now, in some enormous, awkward packaging.

I can also see that retailing for at least a half a grand.

Blu-ray would be nice, but I'm one of those crazy people who prints out custom covers to save space. Having the discs in a regular DVD case is better than some of those shitty boxes, anyway.
