Wii U Question

Anyone who's been following Wii U. Now that Nintendo requires you to sign in with your Nintendo ID to download games on the Wii U and 3Ds, does the games you download tie to your ID? As in if I download super Mario 3d world then my Wii U breaks can I get a new one and sign in with my ID and simply redownload it?

No, you can't. 

Unless you want to try and call Nintendo. Even though that is not a guarantee. 

This is one of the reason nintendo gets hate when it comes to digital downloads.

Buy them retail for now.
