Just got scammed by CAGer why do I do now?

CAGiversary!
This scumbag zGRiGSz was in for a trade
I sent him my 40$ bestbuy gift card code for his 1 year xbox live code.
I sent first and waited while he used 30$ dollars, he stopped responding to my messages. I have already contacted bestbuy cs. What should I do now?
 
You should always check a CAG profile first.  He had scammer written all over him.  The guy he traded twice with made the account the same day as him and supposed traded "code" twice on the same day.  

PM a mod at least so you can get his and his other accounts banned.

Yeah, it is your job to look into each person before you trade because there is no way to get your money back when traded here through CAG directly.

Sorry for your loss here but I hope this helps teach you what to look for when trading! Also, I hope this bad experience doesn't turn you away from CAG because 99% of us are pretty great ; P

 
Thanks for the info, I had a bad feeling about it the whole time. I know what you mean brolly only takes a bad one to try to spoil the bunch.

contact pookymeister, he is the guy to get a trade ban on that joker.

totally sucks that you got burned so early on a trade. but as stated before 99% of CAGs are pretty swell people!

 
Update*
The scammer is most likely hiding under a rock with his punkass squished somewhere but on a good note,
BestBuy is reissuing me a new gc in 10-15 business days. Thanks to all who took the time to let me know what to look out for and watch for!
 
Glad to see that Best Buy is helping you out, although they certainly aren't obligated to. Its always best to trade with established traders while you build feedback as it can be quite easy for a new member to insist another new member sends first.

 
How the hell did bestbuy issue you another giftcard did you tell them you traded with someone on cag and got ripped off?
