Pikmin 3 - Nintendo Wii U $54.99 ( $26.99 gcu coupon )

It's Back! (was on sale before, on Saturday (4/19/2014))

It seems "Best Buy Math" works best in our favor when you combine any "sale item" game with a GCU coupon. Right now, Pikmin 3 for Wii U is on sale for $54.99 (normally $59.99). So with the GCU discount, the $20 OFF coupon, and Best Buy Math, it comes out to $26.99.

Is it a good time to bite? Or is it better to (save my gcu coupon and) wait for a better sale within the next two weeks.

Don't know when the $54.99 sale ends. Maybe today?

Hmmm $26.99... Tempting... What you all think?

Pikmin 3 is great. I liked Pikmin 1 better because of its focus on speed and precision, but Pikmin 3 is probably going to be most people's favorite Pikmin game. It looks gorgeous too.

 
Man this is tempting. I loved Pikmin, but anything over $20 is a hard sell for me anymore. Maybe if it was on sale for $49.99 it would be easier to bite. That would put it at ~$20. Still...

I'm the same way about buying under $20, but for a Nintendo exclusive, that's pretty rare, which is why I am on the fence. Get it now for a great price, or take the gamble of trying to wait for a sale before 5/3/14 (coupon expiration date) and get it for an even better price? What to do? =)

(Oh hey, you guys think Best Buy does price adjustments on stuff we use GCU coupons on. If so, then it's an easy buy for today!)

It's YMMV. I've called the BestBuy number twice. First time they did refund the difference and still had GCU applied. The second time they refunded only the sale price without the GCU (a couple cents). Maybe you might have better luck trying to price match using the email support.

As always, people are getting GCU and the @Gamer sub confused. The digital coupons/magazine are associated with the @Gamer subscription. The @Gamer sub opportunity ended in Sept/Oct so you would have had to have an active sub or renewed by that time to get these coupons. Renewing or buying GCU will only get you the GCU benefits (20% off new games, 10% off PO, +10% trade in, etc)

You needed to be a former @gamer member to receive the coupons. You would have needed to be an existing member or had renewed with the old program when it was $15/year.

If your old sub was set to expire April 6th or before, you won't get these coupons. The email for these coupons were sent out April 7th.
 
that's a great deal. wish i was a member to have recieved the coupons. been waiting for a good deal on Pikmin 3. $55 is still too high for me. Oh well, I have a ton of games to hold me over until that day comes.

everytime there's a new thread on a sale that is timed with a coupon, this is asked. We really need an FAQ for this. Half the threads could be cutdown with a link. :wall:

If there are still any generous CAGs out there like there used to be, I'll happily take a coupon and use it.  Otherwise I'll just wait til this goes to $30 or $20.

I miss the good ol' days on here when people were generous and gave out what they didn't need.  Hold on to your coupons that you won't ever use if you must, but asking for $5 for something you have no use for is kind of funny.

 
i promised i wasnt buying anything else untill mario kart. gonna have to pass. gonna give my coupon to someone though.
