The six existing Star Wars movies, and the CG Clone Wars cartoon are the only pieces of entertainment that are currently canon. Everything else Disney releases (Like the Star Wars Rebels cartoon) in the future will be canon too.

They could of used some of the more popular stories and characters as a loose outline. Nolan did it for his Batman movies, Kirkman did it for the Walking Dead TV series, and DC does it for the animated movies you guys love. Maybe they will, but I doubt it.

Boring Apple talk, a bad Spiderman game, crappy birthday, dumping on the guys who dug up ET, crapping on Nintendo, depressing COD and the only decent game to come out this week (Child of Light), nobody played.
 
I did crack up at Cheapy's "Corky" reference.  That makes me a bad person.
 
I'm super excited about Mario Kart 8 and I think the bundle is a great deal when compared side-by-side with the PS4 and XBO in the shelves.  The trick now is to get the average family interested enough in MK8 to make this their holiday purchase.
 
On a side-note - happy birthday Wombat.
 
Wombat doesn't like E.T., but his son has the same name as the main character in the movie.  

I'm sure Wombat would say that they have nothing to do with each other, and it doesn't matter.  But for me, whenever I hear the name Elliott, the kid on the bike is the first thing I think of.

I really hope they don't repeat anything from the EU. If they do, even if it's just a tiny reference, it'll cause a bajillion Star Wars fans to start fan casting Thrawn again.

This is my favorite podcast but one of the issues is that you guys don't record in the same place. I hope that you do a podcast at E3 agian but bring a good mic, if I remember correctly they don't have the best audio quality.

 
Wombat, they already announced that Disney Infinity game saves from the Xbox 360 and PS3 will transfer to Disney Infinity 2.0 on the Xbox One and PS4 respectively.

Don't buy an Apple Laptop without the Retina display.  Don't do it!   That's how I ended up with the macbook pro, over the Air. 

 
I'm an odd breed of Star Wars fan in that I enjoy ALL of the movies. Yes, even the prequels. Obviously the original trilogy is far superior to the prequels, but I still enjoy them. That being said, I'm not really working up my excitement for the new movie(s). I will definitely see them and most likely enjoy them too, but I'm not getting my hopes up early. I'm a bit sad they canned all of EU, but it makes the most sense, honestly. But it sucks that the Thrawn series won't get the treatment it deserves (among other stuff).

Speaking of Star Wars games followed immediately by talk of Raven, Raven made Jedi Outcast and Academy, which are my two favorite SW games and among my favorite games of all time. Absolutely love those games; spent so much time in both the single and multiplayer. I miss playing good SW games. I just watched EpIV last night (since it was May 4) and it made me sad that I haven't played a SW game in forever. The more recent for me was TOR, and, well... it was TOR.

Man I'm finding it harder to disagree with you guys about Nintendo.  The $330 MK Wii U bundle is laughable.   I'm taking the price as a mea culpa.  We're never going to sell a ton of these at this point so why lower the price and lose even more money?

I do miss the Nintendo conferences because they were the most genuine to me.  But if you got nothing new to say and no new hardware then why bother.  

btw I got a new theory about the marketing the past few years.  Nintendo moved their  marketing dept to San Fran 3 or 4 years ago and in the process lost a few execs who didn't want to move.  Maybe no coincidence the marketing lately has been questionable.
