Oh cool, I missed out on the Ruby and Sapphire GBA generation.  I haven't ventured since Red/Blue/Yellow.  Picked up HeartGold awhile back, but got stuck.  This might motivate me to play again. 

Slightly off topic, bought LeafGreen also awhile back.  Been trying to back-up the previous owner's save and thought about uploading it to like Gamefaqs.  Supposedly the DS version of Game Genie should do the trick.

Well I'm excited! I've been a pokemon player since Gen I but Gen III is easily my favorite. I liked the pokemon the beat and also that was my first pokemon game where I got a full level 100 team. Alpha Sapphire will be a first day buy for me.

It'll probably be the same basic story with expanded elements like the last 2 remakes were. I also expect different puzzles to take advantage of the 3D graphics.
 
I was expecting it too. Day 1 buy for sure no questions asked! I wouldn't hope for any major 3D it says game in 2D and some area's playable in 3D.  Not a problem for me as I never use the 3D anyways.

Well, it will likely incorporate the Emerald changes in there (Wallace as Champion, Juan as the 8th Gym Leader) and I wouldn't be surprised if they expanded the last third of the game since the originals fizzled out then. Hopefully the rivals will expand to be like previous rivals and the water routes will be shorter.

What would be boss is if they tied it in with the Orre games, but I doubt they will.

Also, Fortree City is going to rock.

Lol at all those idiots that insisted they'd never remake R/S/E. Hate to sound nerdish but the morons that flamed people to hell and were adamant in believing they would never be remade were just annoying as hell. Glad to see these are finally coming out though I'm more intrigued about when the "third" game for X and Y is due.

 
They were likely working on this at the same time as X&Y, so that's not too surprising. Also wouldn't surprise me if there's a stage here for Smash Bros.

I like Sceptile's new form, but Swampert? Eh...

Also not sure about Sceptile being Grass/Dragon. I mean, it's definitely unique, but there's getting to be as many Dragon-types as Water-types.

Swampert knowing Hammer Arm is OK I guess.

Sceptile was my starter in Sapphire and was always my favorite of the Hoenn starters. Not too crazy about the Dragon typing but I guess it'll be cool to have a grass dragon. I really like Swampert's mega form also but I just prefer really bulky looking pokemon. 

 
All I can picture is one of those memes with the guy with his arm raised and it says "ALL THE ____!", but it says "MORE ARMS", and he has 4 arms.

Now that my kid and I have caught Pokemon fever (no one was more surprised than I), might have to get this.  If it's similar to X & Y then we'll be getting Day 2.  The extra day to read the reviews.

 
I hope the cloning Glitch from Emerald returns. So many memories. Surely it will be left out. They way they developed breeding now they might as well implement a cloning machine.
 
Nintendo released videos of MegaAudino and MegaSlowbro. Not much was shown for Audino, but MegaSlowbro becomes a tank. The video shown taking 1/4 damage from a Dragon Claw from MegaCharizard X.
