This may have been mentioned in the Amazon digital deals thread but currently NBA 2K14 is $7.50 for the digital download which is redeemable on Steam.  What makes this interesting is that if you bought a digital PC game published by 2K from Amazon prior to it's October 2013 release you may have gotten a $5 promotional credit towards pre-ordering the PC copy of 2K14.  I got credits for 2K games purchased as far back as December 2012.  If you're an email hoarder like me I received the emails notifying me of the credits on 9/25/13 and is a mostly generic promotional credit email (aside from mentioning it was to pre-order 2K14) with the subject "Your Amazon.com Promotional Credit".  If you earned it the credit should be in your account still (it expires September of this year) and apply when you go to checkout the digital copy.

Additionally I received a $5 credit for the Amazon Android app store for purchasing 2K14.  There's no mention of that on the 2K14 page but I received the email notifying me of the credit with the purchase email for 2K14.  App store credit expires July 31, 2014.

It worked for me as described, and I even got a $1 MP3 credit in addition. The game is subpar, but the promotions make this bearable. Thank you, OP.

Yeah, 2K14 definitely has issues and the PC version is based off the 360/PS3 version which is mostly recycled from the previous two years. Still, at $2.50 it's a lot cheaper to scratch the itch from watching the playoffs then picking up a copy for consoles again this year.

Awesome, I forgot all about that promo credit, surprised it was still redeemable. Thanks Eldritch!
I only knew because I had gone back through my emails recently trying to figure out what all the mystery promotional credits on my account were. Still haven't accounted for all of them.

Just a heads up, this was a pricematch to a daily deal on Steam.  That deal has expired, so the Amazon pricematch probably will filp back to $29.99 or whatever later tonight.

Of course, nobody really knows who is driving the Amazon PC Digital Ship anymore, so the deal might be around for a while, but I wouldn't recommend waiting.  I grabbed a couple extra keys at the discounted price, and I saw a few floating around in the Steam Trading thread so people interested should still be able to get in on the cheap.

Aww, I would have gotten in on this, but no $5 promo for me prior to purchase. I really only would have bitten on this if I had gotten it down to $2.50, and then got the $5 credit after.

Damn I wish I got that coupon I would have bought NBA 2K14 for that price.
If you want it I have three more credits for the game and will take $2.50 PayPal or maybe something in trade. Checked earlier and it would let me get another at the $2.50 price so if you want it PM me.

Or if there's another regular that wants a copy let me know since I assume it will let me use all three of the remaining credits. As noted though the price will probably go back up when Amazon updates tonight.

One other thing to note:  there is a chance NBA 2K14 will hit $4.99 during the Summer Sale, and if that would get pricematched...well, you do the math.

Still, $2.49 is a heckuva deal.  Just about to cross the 200 hour mark on it myself.  It's not bad, once you adjust for the AI flaws.

The one potential problem is that promotional credits don't always work on things that become free if they're less than the promo credit. Hit and miss from my experience. I did consider that though. :whee:
