It's about Jim Gordon failing at saving Gotham.

Bruno Heller of The Mentalist will be writing it, at least for the start. This means that the pilot has a high chance of making a good impression.

Saw the trailer the other day.  Not sure how to take it.  Reminds me of Muppet Babies, all your favorite characters as kids!!!  Not exactly the show many wanted (but may be the show we all need?)

Oh, no. I forgot to post it even when I posted Constantine. I'm writing a few papers for a class and getting ready for final exams... and I just came back from dinner. I posted this from mobile first. That's why I added the trailer now.

i don't have much high hopes for this show, and is this show mainly about  Jim Gordon, and events surrounding his early career/life, because batman shows up in gotham city? i doubt the average movie goers would want to watch a movie/ tv show based on jim gordan, as oppose to batman. Unless you are a hardcore comics fan/ reader.

I think they're going to draw in people with characters from Batman but they're going to try to get their own thing going. I mean, they got Bruno Heller on this. They're going to try to transition people from "it's related to Batman so let's just watch the first episode" to "the pilot is amazing so we should keep watching it".

yeah, that might work. i guess they are going to cover like the origin story of all those characters in gotham city, like batman, joker and two face and etc.. i almost forgot i read some where they are going to have a tv series for Flash as well

 
It'll be interesting seeing that actor playing Jim Gordon.  I've only seen him in the show Southland, and he was pretty good, but it'll be hard seeing him take over Jim Gordon.

Interested in seeing Harvey Bullock, too.  All I know of him is from the Batman: TAS.

 
If this show had been made 20 years ago, Bob Hoskins would have been an awesome Bullock.

I am hoping we'll get to see Montoya (though hold off on making her Question until Season 3 or 4 at the earliest), Rojas, and Ellen Yin.
 
I really wish the show creators would shut up about the villains. If the main characters are going to be Bullock and Gordon, that's fine. I don't care about the villains that Batman has to fight 20 years from now.

 
Especially since Batman won't be in the show. Basically, it's just Chill and a few possible mobsters who should appear in the show.
