DS Lite Cracked LCDs - Fix?

So. I was out at a garage sale when I came across a DS lite and a whole bunch of games - the lot for $27.

Unfortunately, the DS had a badly cracked LCD. I'm no expert or anything at fixing stuff - I've tried on more than one occasion and basically either 1) broke it worse or 2) gave up.

I didn't really have the right tools, though.

Do you think it's possible for an amateur to fix the LCD? And if so, what would I need?

((I wouldn't really be opposed to selling the DS to someone who is more capable of repairing it, too - offer?))

You'd need to buy a replacement top LCD, take the DS Lite apart, remove the broken screen, install the new screen, then put it back together.

You'll need a tri-wing screwdriver to take it apart.
