Ni No Kuni is an easy purchase. They are practically giving it away.

Might be the cheapest Tales of Graces F has ever been. Still, with Xillia and Symphonia HD both being 10 recently I have enough tales to last me until it goes lower.

Also, 39.99 for Xillia is retail price, so dunno why that's even listed. Edit - Logging in to PSN shows the Sale price 19.99

FF X remaster on PS3 isn't a sale price. That's it's normal price.

Shows up as 29.99 on the sale page. Was just a typo from the OP.

Jeez talk about a crappy ME3 DLC sale. STILL that much? Man, I wanna re-buy them again, but not for that price considering i've already played them. Probably will bite on the leviathan DLC though. Obvs, omega was free that one week.

That thread is a maze, much like all of the combined/ongoing mega threads. So many deals go unnoticed as opposed to having specific threads for specific deals on games for the short time they are on sale, with the game's title in the thread title.

I stopped checking the weekly ad threads years ago as it was always sifting through near-MSRP Call of Duty week after week in order to MAYBE find 1 or 2 gems that month; as opposed to someone just posting a "Best Buy DotD (date) (game) (price) for things that are actually worth the time.

Many more quick-browsing/lurking CAGs will notice a thread called "Ni No Kuni- $5" than they will "Same thread title as last week, many many games inside, some new, some old, some sale prices no longer in effect". And the thread won't "flood/clog" the board because it will fall to page 5 and oblivion as soon as the deal is no longer active, usually no longer than a week.

No. It makes the forum a goddamn mess. It's the weekly PSN thread, with a fantastic Op that gets updated every week and has discussion all the time.

There are never more than maybe 1.5 to 2 pages worth of truly great video game deals going on at a time across all retailers anyway. It is literally impossible to flood the forum for individual game deals under $20.

If you were to click on page THREE of VG CAG right now, it would be full of a bunch of deals that are no longer active, or threads that only existed because all of the weird Sportz Dadz CAGs on here derailed the topic into which football team is better.

So again, thank you to the OP for creating a "Ni No Kuni, $5" thread for us CAGs who don't like to waste time or wait for a specific thread's curator to get home from work and rearrange things.

That's not an excuse to have 2-6 threads on something. Imagine if every deal was posted over and over again. The PSN thread was the upper half of page one, because we had been discussing it for a good hour.

Sounds pretty lazy to me. This is Cheap Ass Gamer, not Lazy Ass Gamer. Everything in this thread is on the VERY FIRST PAGE of the PSN thread, that gets updated on the same day every week.  I'm not sure how you compare that to a maze, but that's a pretty easy maze to navigate. You don't have to post there, or read anything from anyone. First post of the first page.

Well that OP has also made other threads when there is a flash sale like this. The last one he made was for the "golden week flash sale" that happened and nobody complained about that one. Plus not everyone check the PSN thread because usually its filled with random conversation always with the same people not having anything to do with the deals.

It isn't lying to you, it's near 22gb. Keep in mind you'll need near 44gb free to actually download it.

I never understand why people bitch about threads like this.  Not everyone goes into the PSN thread and if a post on the deals page helps even one person see the deal that otherwise wouldn't, that should considered a good thing for CAG.

Yes, but some people may agree that its cleaner to organize it in this way so people can navigate through reading responses about the current deal easier.

In that thread, it's very difficult to find when the posts talking about the deal start, and distinguishing between past deal posts and current deal posts is the maze, as you have to 'find your way' to the starting posts talking about the deal. If that thread were to flush out past comments (if the structure was possible), then I'd agree that it is by all means the best way to get the information regarding deals as well as a flowing discussion. But it doesn't so I agree with what the other guy says, and I do believe this makes it easier to generate discussion about the deals.

Thanks a ton for sharing OP, I'd have missed this if it had been stuck in the PSN thread.  Dragon Age Origins and even Kingdom of Alumar are both tempting at that price but my backlog is just too big     I am interested in that ME3 DLC though.  I got the Trilogy awhile back and it's still sitting in the backlog; anybody know what, if any, of this DLC is included in the trilogy?  IIRC no, so is any of this DLC worthwhile for single player?

No, OP's supporters are right.  Many of us don't check that regularly.  The thread is unmodded and the discussions can be quite off topic and, frankly, moronic.  I do try to check it every once in a while, but since I dropped PS+ there hasn't been much for me.  Besides, this is a flash sale:  as in it's over in a couple of days.  It's not like this is a typical weekly sale.  There's nothing wrong with a single additional thread.

If you are gonna say I should just check the PSN thread every week, well why not cut out the middleman?  Why visit CAG at all when I can just check the PSN sales page directly?  That goes for all these store-specific sales threads.  I come here because it's easy to navigate with individual deals posted, but if I have to check a bunch of store/shop threads individually and on a regular basis I might as well quit coming here and  just bookmark each shop's sales pages instead.

This is a very old argument and, no offense, but your side never wins it.  Don't you think maybe it's time to just accept that flash deals such as this will always get their own thread and move on?

I don't have a side. I was pointing out that the reasoning behind it made no sense. I don't think it's a bad idea, just seems like there's always 3-4 people trying to post the same thing. Then on top of that, it's in the OP of the PSN thread.

To me, it's the same as when someone posts a big sale for a certain store. Then there's 2-3 people who cherry pick off that OP and make their own thread...it just gets to be too much at times. But again, I'm not arguing your point, it's obviously helpful to some people.

The DLC included in the trilogy is limited to the Cerberus pack for ME2. There's also a free DLC for ME3, something about an extended cut? Haven't played it yet so I have no idea what it is.

I guess I misinterpreted what you were saying, sorry 'bout that.

I'm trying to track down info for the DLC now, I think I'm finding good info on most of it but I still can't get anything on the "For Ashes" DLC.  If anybody feels like sharing thoughts and opinions that would be great.

I don't have any other DLC that isn't included in the PS3 version of the Trilogy, I take it that I won't be lost if I still get some of this DLC?

I dony know what if anything is included in the Trilogy, but all of them are worth it. From Ashes nets you a new permanent squad member. Leviathan is an important snippet of story that should have just been in the main game. Omega is a nifty revisit to a place in the second game. Citadel is pure delightful fan service best saved for near the end of the game.
