Nintendo Store

CAGiversary!
I went looking for one of those horizontal game pad holders like the one that comes with Wii U Party. I finally thought about checking Nintendo's store. There it was $4. Not bad. I don't remember seeing it before.

Other interesting bits:

- the larger Game Pad battery is no longer listed.

- the Wiimote rechargeable batteries with their charging stations or just the battery on it's own are no longer listed.

Now, granted, these were silly high-priced items but it seems like if you were needing a replacement battery that the larger battery would have been the one to go for. It's no longer an option unless they periodically run out of stock and remove those items from their online store.

Nintendo should've never put such a crappy battery in the wii u tablet in the first place, or they should have at least given a free replacement.  They also should not have made the battery for the tablet just drain itself just sitting there.  But, I'm also very mad that I didn't find out about the replacement battery until they had stopped selling it, you can get it from importing sites, though.

Damn it...I was saving up for an extended battery...man. I love my wii u & 3DS but WTF happened to Nintendo's excellent battery life history? My DS lite lasts for weeks. My SP lasts for at least a week. This was just plain laziness on their part...

Gden (Gideon?) is right. These batteries should have been a free replacement....they better come back I stock someday. I do not want to buy an off brand one.

Ah thought the name was a clever reference to Gravity Falls. :p
Anyway, the battery cost $32 with shipping included on Nintendo's online store. $8, I think, less than play Asia with shipping...which is why I'm pretty peeved. It's not much difference, but I just seriously hate paying for shipping... I guess I'll just buy a couple at the Nintendo World Store whenever I'm in NYC again.

It seems dumb to me that they only carried it for 6 weeks or whatever it was. You'd think that they'd just want to keep these things in stock.

The batteries have actually been up for months, but yea..they should really keep them in stock.
They did sell out fast the first time they were added to the shop though, so...until I am able to find them in the wild I'll hope they restock again.
