Playstation Memory Card Adapter?

I was wondering if anyone here knows a good place to buy the official playstation memory card adapter for the ps3. I guess they are out of production, because everywhere I look they are no longer being sold, and amazon has them way overpriced.

eBay is an option, but I'd rather find a good deal elsewhere before resorting to that.

Thanks!

The adapter lets you transfer your saves from your PS2 memory card to the PS3. I'm guessing they didn't make very many since only a few PS3s are compatible, which is probably why they're so expensive.

I don't think I've seen one in the wild since not long after the launch of the PS3. You might get lucky looking at used game stores, flea markets or something like that. Ebay does seem to be the best option if you're cool with a third party adapter.

Why would you? A PS2 is cheap anyway and it doesn't need firmware updates.
I just need it to transfer some files from my PS3 to a PS1 card and visa-versa.

Yeah, that's what it looks like i'm going to have to do. Would much prefer an official one, though.

I appreciate it!

Guess I don't need the one I have any longer since I switched from a fat PS3 to a slim PS3.    Prices on Amazon are pretty nutty and there aren't any used ones.

Actually there is a method for converting saves from your PS1 to PS3 and vice versa. It would require the use of a PS2's file managing service and some PC apps. That's how I continued playing my FF9 game when I grew tired of using the PS3.

It goes:

Get flash drive, transfer PS1 save to flash drive. Find PC software that converts save to something the PS2 can use. Turn on PS2's file managing software. Copy paste converted save into PS1 memory card.

But if I go into too much detail, that's probably a big no no. You can manage if you search Google.

Would you be willing to sell yours? If so I might still be interested if it's an original.

Thanks
