PS3 Slim deal help

CAGiversary!
My 40GB PS3 just bit the dust and I want to get a PS3 Slim(not Super Slim). My kids have a bunch of old Wii and Nintendo DS Lite games they dont play anymore so I was looking at trading them in to Gamestop. With a Pro membership(10%) and their current promotion(extra 30%), I would get an extra 40% on my trade in values. I know Gamestop trade in is not the best way to get the most $ but with the extra 40% ,simplicity, and immediateness, I will do it. So my question is which PS3 Slim to buy. My 2 options are:

1. New PS3 Slim 320GB Sports Champions Move Bundle. $300 in store at a few Gamestops.

2. Gamestop Refurbished PS3 Slim Bundle. $230 includes 320GB PS3, an extra Dualshock controller, and any 2 pre-owned games under $20.

I am hesitant about the used one but the refurbs are supposed to undergo more testing than the used ones. Also from what I've read the Slims are pretty reliable and are not very suceptible to the YLOD. Also, I can get a 1 yr extended warranty for $20.

So which is the best deal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you need any of the controllers or games with the refurb?

If not buy that one and trade in the 2 controllers and 2 games.

I think the new system has a 1 year warranty with them. And you could get a squaretrade 3 year warranty for cheap.

You may also want to try out cowboom. Even though you have a lot of stuff to trade in. Your still gonna be spending some cash. This way you can get some new games.

I could use the Dualshock controllers since I have just a non-Dualshock now. The new system has a 1 yr warranty and the refurb has a 30 day warranty. The Gamestop 1 yr warranty is only $20. My main concern is with getting a used/refurb and the YLOD. I'd like to stick with Gamestop since they are local and if I have any problems I can easily return it back to the store.

What about a new/sealed 320GB PS3 Slim Sports Champions Move Bundle from ebay for around low $200's? It's new but I assume no warranty since not bought from an authorized dealer?

The benefit with the new one is Sony does offer you an option to get a 3 year standard warranty for $40 (might be 50; I don't remember), and a 3 year accidental warranty for $60. With Gamestop refurb'd, you can get a maximum of two years warranty for an extra price; otherwise, they usually offer 90 days. If you can get a PS3 Slim bundle with an extra controller, 2 $20 preowned games and as long a warranty as you can from Gamestop for less than $300, that would be the best deal.

Depending on where you live the Gamestop Refurbished console or a new one (for cheap) might be the way to go. My PS3 console was owned by a guy in the rich part of town.

I think I'm going to go with the Gamestop refurb for $230 and then get their 1 yr warranty for $20. I also will wait until this "Playcation" deal is offered since it is supposed to be an extra 50% trade in value vs the current 40%.
