States that increased their minimum wage in 2014 saw faster job growth than those that didn't

I don't think your analysis matches what's shown in the article you cited.

Interesting, of the 13 states, four had a more "artificial" increase while 9 had a systematic increase (in this case, tied directly to inflation). Two of the four had negative job growth (the only two out of all 13 states), one was on the lower end of job growth and one was in the top ten.

But you still need to analyze causation, because otherwise there's no way to know for certain if job growth would have been even higher without the increase in minimum wage.

Everyone else already pointed out most of the flaws here...way too short of a time span...no data on what kind of jobs were created...no causation analysis. Also no discussion on how many hours were cut, if certain fringe benefits were curtailed, or if prices were increased. But yes, great article nonetheless. Let's just play it safe, raise the minimum wage to $15 across the country, and call it a day...

Why stop at $15?

This article proves that raising the minimum wage has absolutely no effect on unemployment/job growth - therefore, I purpose that we raise minimum wage to One Hundred Trillion Dollars/Hour. Then, we can all pay taxes in at a 40% rate and our government will be able to fund all the social programs and wars it wants.

There is absolutely no downside to this plan whatsoever. Anyone who says otherwise is probably a privileged straight white christan male racist.

You DO realize what sector of job growth has grown the most under Obama right? GOVERNMENT JOBS... we don't need more government jobs for the economy we need private sector jobs.

Government jobs are fine if you are looking to tidy up a socialist regime... oh wait nevermind we still have a little more than 2 years left to go.
