Damn is right. I guess I bought my second one a month too early

Probably wouldn't matter since my first is already my Home console. I doubt I would have gotten the offer

"Offer valid ONLY xbox live account holder receiving this offer"

I just picked up an Xbox One the other day and it sits unopened.  I have been debating whether or not to keep it or return it.   I did not receive this offer despite having a live account since the original xbox days and spending WAY too much on digital games/content over the years (2 320gb drives worth).   Who knows what triggered the deal, but it only goes to the "very best customers".  In reality this may be a completely random promotion but only offering it to select people is a good way of saying fuck you to every one who has been a customer and did not receive the offer.  Running a promotion this way really makes me do a double take about how a Microsoft is doing business.  I am not one that is going to sit and cry about not getting a deal but I think this makes my decision whether or not to return the Xbox One pretty easy.  I might just stick with my PS4 and Wii U this generation unless Microsoft gets their shit together.

You sound pretty but hurt. Of course it sits unopened, their have been no new releases for either consoles worth playing them for, just wait until September, October, and November hit. This deal is most likely aimed at those people who haven't yet bought an xbox one and are trying to convince them to get an X1 with this offer.

How about some appreciation for the customers who bought Xbox Ones one day one, despite being weighted down by that $100 brick known as the kinect.

Sorry but you chose to buy the system on release, you're not exactly owed anything. You basically paid to be one of the first to own and use the system. Just saying. (Unless you owned a 3ds at launch that's a little bit different and even then Nintendo didn't really have to do it).

OT: I didn't get this offer either but I don't have the money for an Xbox One now anyway. I'll be waiting till Black Friday when there are some worthwhile games on the system to pick one up.

That's the opposite of how incentives work. You bought the system, which means you didn't need an incentive. The sole purpose of this deal is to sell systems to those who are on the fence.

I have no problem with the promo -- one of the costs of being an early adopter IS paying a premium before the price drops start.  But saying it's a thank you for "one of our best customers" might not be the best way to phrase it...  (Not that I have any suggestions for how to do it better)

I saw someone on GAF say they only had a 360 and LIVE for 6 months, and they got the promotion.  I dont think it is for their "very best customers,"  Sounds like it is completely random.

I don't know; it sounds like you're crying to me (and most likely others who read your post).

A double take about how Microsoft is doing business? Plenty of others do similar things. It's called an incentive, as others have pointed out, to buy something you might otherwise not. I would imagine that in order to see this, you would have to boot up a 360 and connect to live so they already know you play videogames... why not try to get you to buy their new console?

Aaaaaaaaaand here comes the whining. I knew it would start on the first page of this thread. Immediately after I read the title, I knew it. They're coming...

No offer for me. I probably wouldn't have gotten a One anyway, but I have a friend who would have loved to get this. I let my Xbox Account go unused from 10/2010 until 5/2014 lol. I guess they don't see me as a prime person to get the offer

Maybe they should have given this to the loyal customers that bought XB1 on day one. MS your really pissing me off lately.
So many whiners and complainers here. Do people really not know how incentives work? I wonder if it is because Microsoft is doing it...

This would be an awesome deal if you combined it with the college student deal BBY has that gets you a $50 Xbox GC along with Titanfall for $20. I would definitely buy an XB1 if I got that offer

I am more than satisfied with my day one purchase but the buyers like myseld did get shafted in some way, whether it be free games or this. Just stating the obvious. Day One customers deserve better IMO.

This may sound dumb but I think it is still easier to find a good deal on Craigslist.  Systems with Kinect and games are selling for 300 around me.

My offer looked exactly the same as the OP, except I was offered $100 instead of $75...

You didn't get shafted. You got to play it on day one. If that wasn't worth it to you, you shouldn't have bought it on day one.

I would definitely consider getting an $399 Xbox One with this points/credit added to my account, at least to have for a few months then possibly trade for PS4. Hell I wouldn't even have to "consider" it, I'd just go get one tomorrow.

I doubt I'll get this offer though. I've barely had my 360 for 2 years  - and even then I only played it about the same or less than my PS3 for those 2 years. I have bought a fair amount of digital games though.

Sorry, but I never said I was "owed" anything. I said they should show some appreciation for the customers that stuck with them in spite of all their recent bullshit. That is not to say they have to, just that they shouldn't alienate their most loyal customers.

It's not a matter of incentives. It's a matter of maintaining a relationship with your customer base and not alienating them by making them regret buying your console when they did.

Can't handle an opinion? Get off the internet. You're the one actin' like a bitch here.

Looks like I'm the only day one buyer that doesn't give a shit about this or any other promotions that have shown up in the past. The entitlement issues some people have is just baffling. This is pretty cool of ms to do for those that may have been on the fence.

I don't regret my day one purchase but I must admit it would be nice if Microsoft extended an offer like this to their "most loyal" customers. I don't expect Microsoft to do it since they are more focused on moving new consoles right now, not a big deal for me but I can see why some early adapters would be ticked off.

Ive been a constant xblive subscriber for 10 years same acct.. day one 360 and xbox one buyer.. guess its the loyal ones they dont have to worry about though

Yes i did choose poorly.   I can whine if I want tho and will, deal with it.  Doesn't change the fact that many XBOX FANs already bought an XB1 and this kind of promotion just goes to show MS don't care of about early adopters, its all about the here and now.

Guess how many XB1 games i have bought since the 3 launch titles?   None.  Guess how many i have pre-ordered?  None.

That's usually how it works in being an early adopter, Nintendo's 3DS ambassador program being a major exception. If you want to have a bent nose about it, then sell your console and be done with it.

Oh, and assuming you're gold, then you've gotten 3 games from the Games With Gold deal that you didn't have to spend $40-45 on.

bad choice of words... their very best customers should include the people who bought it at launch...

Well the Xbox 360 has sold like 60+ Million and the Xbox One is around 6 Million so there's still plenty of fans out there that don't own an Xbox One.....

Honestly I just shrug these promotions off now. It would have been "nice" to get some of these deals but I'm still very happy with my day 20 purchase. I've used the system a lot since I bought it and that to me justifies buying it early.

I would go out and buy an Xbox One right now if I got this deal.  Unfortunately, I haven't received any notice.

It's supposed to be pretty obvious on the dash right?  All I see is the summer sale.

Would this be a transferable deal if the original receiver were to pass it on?  Or is it a buy+activate type deal?
