Just saw this in the ad from the sunday paper. You have to pay $5 for the preorder, and you get $15 of MUT content probably when you pick up the game. It doesnt list any restrictions, just says not available in all stores. It does state video game must be in original packaging and customer must be 18 years of age or older.

Ive noticed their trade in values seem to be based off best buy, as they are usually a few cents more or less. This is in store only i assume.

to check values or find out if your store is participating (blue find your walmart square next to search)

If values are correct, Mario Kart is listed at $40...Do you really think they'd give $60?
watch dogs is right there too, they are wal mart employees, so probably. they either 1. dont care or 2. dont know any better. also murdered soul suspect is $33.xx, 50 bucks with bonus.

I'm really interested in getting Madden, but I don't know if trading Battlefield in for 33 is worth it =/ With MUT content I guess its kind of like 15 dollars for it but I'm sure I'll pass.

Could you explain how the process went? Is everything done automatically or did it require some override? I haven't traded in any games to WM before so I'm curious
Pretty much we log in, look up the games, make sure all the games look clean and decent condition. Then it'll add up the amount. After that we need personal ID (this may vary by state) and we have you sign something saying that you understand it's all the property of CExchange (blah blah etc.) After that the money is given to you in a print out that works the same as a Walmart gift card. The gift card can be used at any Walmart or on Walmart.com.

I haven't done a promo + trade-in yet, so we'll see how that works...

Thanks. I assumed the trade in was done in the customer service area but I just called one of my local stores that participates and they told me to go to the Electronics area to do the trade.

I'm more concerned about getting the bonus to apply though. I hope the system automatically applies it. Hoping to get more clarification from Darby27 before I try.

When they first go into the trade in program it has a prompt if the customer is doing the madden promo. They choose yes or no and then click continue. If they ticked yes and hit continue it automatically adds 50% as they add games to the transaction.

Really simple and well done. 100% better than target/bb promos.

They try their darnest to make it stupid and simple for us. One thing I will say though is that the computers I use are absolutely AWFUL, so exercise some patience when it comes to that. Mine freeze up and fail on a regular basis, in addition to making me use a trackball that sticks and a keyboard that regularly doesn't take inputs the first key press.

I'll be working tomorrow so if there are any further questions just ask em and I'll do what I can.

I can confirm this. I was there early in the morning and they didn't even have the madden pre order cards out. Doesn't really matter though, the bonus is done on the trade in register, not the register where you buy the pre order card. The Walmart guy let me watch the screen and I saw how it worked. Like the poster above said, after the employee logs into the trade in program, a prompt pops up asking if you are participating in the madden pre order bonus. Click yes and then continue. After that, the bonus values are applied automatically.

AND YES the values after bonus for games like watch dogs and UFC are currently around $60. Easy $20 flip if you use a birthday coupon at gamestop. Dark Souls 2 (x360) is a nice credit mover from bestbuy to Walmart if you have GCU.

What is the Walmart limits for trades on how many per title/platform? Can you trade multiple copies of the same game in the same transaction? I haven't traded there since the beginning of the program and remember reading they made some changes.

Edit: what about retailer exclusive editions? I have a Target edition of Watch Dogs PS4, will I be able to trade that in?

2 same titles per system

I think they discontinued trade ins in Utah completely for whatever reason :/ tried to trade in some games a week or two ago and ones that did it in the beginning are no longer doing it.

Barely touched Watch Dogs but for ~$54 TIV I will trade mine in. I have time to wait for sale.

Sweet here we go YMMV:

Sony Playstation 4 Infamous: Second Son Working $25.50
Microsoft Xbox One Watch Dogs Working $39.78
Nintendo WiiU Mario Kart 8 Working $39.78
Sony Playstation 4 EA Sports UFC Working $40.80
Microsoft Xbox One EA Sports UFC Working $40.80

Total: $186.66+$93.33(50%bonus)-$5(Madden preorder)=$274.99-$151=$124 profit

I used buy one get one pre owned 40% off and picked up watch dogs and infamous for $55
I used my buy two get one free preowned GCU coupon for mario and UFC X2
I still have a copy of watch dogs

Its the same as the online trade ins, I don't remember what the limit was, I think it was 19 or 12??? But its not a problem doing another set of trade ins in the same day. I did 2 different transactions myself.

And I didn't have to buy another madden preorder card the second time, I just showed the guy my receipt from earlier.

OH, and these pre order cards are just like the Target $1 cards, I would assume they are easy to return and get your $5 back. I have no intentions of getting madden so I will be doing this soon.

I would be careful about using walmart.cexchange.com as an indicator to how much you will receive (pre-bonus) for a trade-in. I tried to trade in a few copies of a DS game a few weeks ago based on what that website told me but since I wasn't paying attention the Electronics employee almost gave me about 1/3 of what the website quoted...

Unless this is just a case of employee user error. Darby, did the trade-in value of the games you took to the store jive with what is on the website?

Actually the preorder cards are essentially $5 Walmart gift cards, so you can use it on anything in the store. Add it to whatever you get in trades and go nuts.

Also, to those asking, I believe I've read in other threads that there is a per transaction limit of $250.

(edit) sorry for formatting issues, deleted too much on the phone.

So all we have to apply towards madden is $5? Or do we have to pay it all off? I have no interest in madden, but want to take advantage of this promo.

Check the values beforehand they should match up. Its possible the worker got you for not including original case which would have lowered the value.

You have to buy a $5 Madden preorder card. No you don't have to pay it off

And technically its YMMV if you even have to buy the $5 card. The trade in register just asks you if you are participating in the trade in bonus promo. So it is up to the cashier to sell you the card at the regular register before or after if at all.

I just went to my local Walmart and they were closed. There was an old man at the door yelling at me saying "WE'RE CLOSED, THE POWER IS OUT"

Maybe they know about this trade-in mistake?

lol nahhhhhhh

Values jived with the site for me.

The games I traded there were ufc xb x2 and watch dogs ps4/xb.

Does anyone know if its two per title per system per transaction or two per title per system total? (ie. Did they hard code a limit)

Anyone happen to know the typical operating hours for doing trades ? I'm sure it varies by store but I'm just wondering if anyone knows .
