Seems like 14 was nothing more than a Beta Test for 15.  From EA's website - Responding to gamer feedback, NBA LIVE 15 has made 500+ core improvements to visuals and gameplay delivering a truly authentic, fluid and fun basketball gaming experience.

I bought this a month ago from Amazon because I was too cheap to buy 2k. Popped in the game noticed 9 players on the court and an invisible "wall" at times. This game is broken and complete trash. Spent an hour on it and traded at GS the next day

This is still the worst game on PS4/Xbox One by far, and in a world where NBA 2K14 exists, there is no reason to own it, for any price.
