I wish they would sell a cheaper regular phase one set. Also buying them individually is probably as expensive if not more than getting this set at that price. Ugh.

i got mint condition used copys of hulk, captain america and avengers cheap from amazon and the other 3 cheap at bestbuy through price matching over a year ago so these have been able to be had seperately for less if you looked hard enough. love that tesseract case though !!

I paid somewhere between $75 or $80 or so.... however I bought them ALL within the last month, have no idea what the "Top secret bonus disc" is, and had to resort to ebay BiN for Thor/Avengers. Beat you on Avengers 3D too......All that said, I'm sure this will look like a good deal to some. Despite what certain
iots want to believe, most of these are at the local Wal-Mart right now for $50, and occasionally even hit $60 at Best Buy or Amazon. I'm just grateful some of the local shops and ebay crowd recognize how grossly overpriced these are and offer most of them at far more reasonable prices. For anybody who can't bother to shop around beyond the big name stores, and just have to see these films no matter how overpriced/overhyped they are, this will look like a good option......now if I could only find Iron Man 3 at a fair price I'd be set
They can be had for cheaper but it will take some effort and patience, but yeah you sure as hell can't waltz up to Wal-Mart or Amazon or Best Buy and do any better.
And if you aren't willing to be patient enough to score a couple of these cheaply on ebay, you may have to resort to buying used copies.
Frankly if I hadn't seen an influx of deals on several of these come over the last few weeks I wouldn't have bothered with these movies, I mean contrary to fanboy opinion they aren't magically better than every other movie out there, and they aren't worth the premium prices.

Thor The Dark World blu - 9.95
Captain America blu/dvd - 6.00
Iron Man 2 - 7.95
Iron Man 3 blu/dvd - 7.95
They were all used from the local pawn shop but were all in immaculate condition or else I wouldn't have bought them. I agree with everyone else, the Marvel blu-rays are shockingly overpriced at retail.

To be fair you got blurays, not 3D blu rays, and that is a big distinction. The standard Marvel Blu rays are still (mostly) overpriced as hell, but they aren't quite as bad as the 3D versions.

Yeah I noticed that in the Amazon reviews, the case/cube seem to be as cheap as can be. But the cube is just a cube isn't it? I was confused how everyone classifies it as "cheap". Is it poorly detailed or something?

I can't understand how they can sell anything like that. The only thing I can figure out is that all the other comic fans build all this hype around a shared universe, as if that somehow magically makes the stories/plot/effects/ect of the individual movies any better. I never saw the appeal honestly.

When this set was first announced, I bought most of the movies from a fellow CAG who wanted to pick this up instead. All-in-all, I think I paid ~$80 to get the full set of movies. Two of them have the BB exclusive slips on them. Probably should just ebay those suckers so I can start picking up Phase 2 blus.

I'm not believing this. AFAIK from the BD forum indian member, the official BD discs are expensive there; maybe you think you got originals while they were BD bootlegs instead....

2/5 starts and the verified indian purchases say its horrible. 4 reviews, 3 of them verified purchases and those were 1-2 starts saying how horrible it is. The only + review wasn't a verified purchase. Waste of $12.50
Like I said clearly a bootlegged copy, Fulfilled by amz just means they sent their stuff to amz, if amz was the seller then it would be different…

Better way to explain why these people are complaining is that they are trying to watch a 2 hr 5 min movie which is being provided in less than 700 mb of data, and they dont really understand how data compression works.
The Blu Ray included officials ads for the movies, and it even was advertising the fact that avengers was coming out the next year.
I highly doubt a bootlegger would go through that much effort to sell something, but whatever. I am happy it plays fine for me, and looks great.

Hope they are real, but like I said, other people that collect BD in India have told me otherwise. There are bootleg copies in BD-25 so you get pretty decent almost 1:1 copy of most BDs; these are the better higher costing bootlegs since they are not compressed into a DVD, it happens a lot with DIsney movies on eBay for example. Enjoy your trip!
