I got the first run with the limited ed cards inside. I was wondering if it would really be worth  keeping it sealed.

i mean say this would happen

You can buy the game brand new minus the cards for 20

you can buy the cards on ebay for  5  bucks

do you think anyone would pay more then 30 bucks for the first print run    just cause the cards are inside the package  when they  could buy the game  NEW for 20 and get the cards for 5.

Tempted at opening to play it but dont know if i should just keep sealed

i highly doubt the first print will be worth much when someone could just by the 2nd run at a cheaper price and then buy the cards on ebay dirt cheap

I didn't think the first run of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD would be worth squat but looking at eBay prices, I'm glad I never got around to it.

i dont see the kingdom hearts first run worth that much where do you see insane prices
I never said it was going for worth much or going for insane prices, I just said I'm glad I never got around to it (as in, never opened it). Sealed copies are going for above MSRP, even though the game's not all that old so who knows, it might be worth something in a few years.

then why not open it. i misunderstood that it went up big time. But heres the question do you think your copy would get more then someone buying the 2nd print and then just buying the extras

Because I won't be playing it for the foreseeable future... why open a game that I probably won't have the time to play? I don't get any benefit of having the game opened vs closed until I actually get the time to play it.

When I do get around to playing it, if my sealed copy ends up being worth a lot, I can just sell it and buy a cheap used copy. If not, I'll just open the copy I have.

I'm just saying that if the game is already going over MSRP, even with a cheaper 2nd printing. There's a good chance that the copy will continue to go up in value but that probably won't be any time soon.

Why would you open it? He just said sealed copies are going for more than MSRP and perhaps it would be worth more in the future. Logically speaking... why would he open it? Brb price depreciates by nearly 50% once you open it.

What you're asking in the OP is hard to answer. Nobody knows whether a game is going to worth anything in the future.

I ASSUMED that the original Dark Souls Collector's Edition was going to be worth something, so I preordered 2 copies (1 for PS3 and 1 for Xbox 360). I sat on both copies for nearly 2 years before selling them as the price had bee hovering around MSRP for quite some time and I FIGURED I wasn't going to make a profit on them, so why not just break even.

Having just checked the price on both versions of the game, the PS3 version shot up nearly $40 and the Xbox 360 version went up only about $20. I'm sorta kicking myself right now for selling them, but you HAVE to be willing to sit on the games for however long if you want to make a profit and you also have to keep in mind you may not make anything at all (if not lose money in the process). It's a gamble. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't.

Well  thinking about this    you can take almost any game.  Need to look this up when i get more time

Like  the persona vita  Le game that came out with the pouch.

Would the  LE be worth more money or  could someone go out and just buy the normal ed used and buy the extras and still call it   new since all of the extras would still be new
