Airbnb Squatter Starts Trolling His Own Videogame Kickstarter

The Airbnb squatter feels no remorse. In fact, he would do it again.

Maksym Pashanin — or someone with access to his Kickstarter account –this weekend posted a comment on the crowd-funding site’s page for a campaign where he raised $40,000 last November for a videogame that never materialized.

“Okay guys, what’s the latest deets on the drama? 10/10 would squat again,” the post reads.

It’s been eight days since Pashanin achieved worldwide notoriety after The Chronicle broke the story of the brothers who moved into Cory Tschogl’s condo and wouldn’t leave. The incident has gone viral with scores of news articles, TV and radio reports, and even a joke in Jimmy Kimmel’s monologue last week. Tschogl has identified Maksym Pashanin to The Chronicle as the man who booked her place via Airbnb, stopped paying, refuses to leave and sent her text messages threatening legal action.

People who backed the game on Kickstarter are furious and asking for their money back.

Is there some more background on this...? Is the Airbnb thing related to the Kickstarter thing or is the story just that the same guy ran two different scams?

Ryuukishi - actually Maksym is running three different scams at the same time (Airbnb squatting, ConEx Kickstarter, Knuckle Club Kickstarter).

Since the Airbnb squatter scandal has hit mainstream news and also been mentioned on Jimmy Kimmel, and Maksym already has the ConEx kickstarter money, I guess he figured the cats out of the bag and decided to troll the ConEx Kickstarter message board.

Some people think that Maksym doesn't even have a brother and he's making the brother up so that he can continue to dodge summons and lawsuits. They look like identical twins in the video (minus the haircut) so with split screen it could be possible.

Wow this guy sounds like a major tool. I hope everyone who funded his game gets their money back somehow. Also, I bet his brother is fake too, just seems way too fishy to me.
