Help me choose a mouse?

I think you should spend a bit more and get a better mouse. I mean, unless that mouse breaks, you're gonna be using that thing for years to come.

I've had my Logitech MX518 for 8 years now and it still works perfectly. I paid $40 for back in 2006 and since then, I've used it through 2 desktop builds and 3 laptops. They don't make that anymore and I have no idea what the successor was, but I would at least consider a reputable brand like Logitech or MS.

Those cheap mice might have good reviews, but chances are, for $15 those people didn't expect much.

This completely.

Sometimes those cheaper ones just fall apart after a few months. Buttons stop clicking, wires come unattached, etc.

Like Vinny said, save up for one from a reputable brand. Hell, just buy one of the Logitech $20 ones if you need one right now, it will last forever, and you got one to use while you save up for another one. I use a Logitech Trackball I bought in 2008, still works like new.

A lot of stuff on Skyrim and Diablo 3 are done with keyboard commands anyways. Sometimes a mouse with all that crap can hinder you if you hit the wrong button at the wrong time.

You guys are right. I went ahead and ordered a logitech g100 for $23 as it is a known brand and has a 3 year warranty. Thanks for the advice.

That seems like a lot of an M100... Newegg has them for $11.

But that's a great, basic mouse. I'm using one right now at work. I wish I had forward/back buttons but whatever.
Sorry I mean g100s. It seems to be on sale from target: http://www.target.com/p/logitech-g100-gaming-mouse-black-910-003533/-/A-14479754#prodSlot=medium_1_14&term=logitech
