CAPCOM™ releasing Resident Evil™ HD remake for ps3 and ps4

This I will have to get, thanks for sharing. I wonder if it'll look better on new gen consoles. 

 
If this does well we will see other Resident Evil remakes

I read a lot of complaints that Capcom is taking shortcuts again: using cropped backgrounds, some lighting changes, and increased levels of sharpening to the Remake. So far this looks worse than the original.  :???:

I would probably guess this as well. I know Square wants $60 for their next gen port of a PSP game, but that game was never officially released previously, while Resident Evil 1 has already had 3 "remakes".

So its a remaster (PS4) of a port (wii) of a remake (GC) 2 generations ago from the original (PS1)?

Funny how they are gonna do that shortly right after the fan sub was completed. Lets just hope the text is actually different than the one from the fan sub.

Are people really trying to say this looks worse than the original RE? This is why I am proud to be a gamer. We have an ability to make ridiculous complaints without letting little things like truth factor into them.

 
Digital only kills it for me as I have both the Gamecube and Wii version.  A redeeming factor would be if it was cross buy.  Vita/PS3/PS4. 

I doubt that will happen though.  It would awesome if Resident Evil: Deadly Silence was included using the Kinect/Wiimote/PS Move, even better if it was updated.

I'm totally fine with devs doing remakes for next gen consoles. TLOU has set the bar. Anything less will not be acceptable.

 
I would consider it if it werent digital only.

But really capcom even then would have to really put some effort and love into it to make me want to pay full price even if it was a retail release. I can get the original and its had a couple remakes already so im not very excited. Capcom in general bores me with its releases anymore. The last game they put out I actually enjoyed was Asuras wrath but that only lasted till I found out the real ending was unlocked with requirements I wasnt willing to meet because they were hard, or pay for the real ending by buying dlc.

Anymore I just dont give a shit what capcom does.
 
"I would consider it if.." Capcom is doing something cool. Digital Only is the way were headed. Deal with it or roll the windows in your van back up. If they changed it to much it would be bad. I know some people complaining its not "HD enough" were also mad that Hayden Christianson replaced old other guy in the blu-ray Star Wars.
 
I hope you can move and shoot at the same time. Back in the day it may not have mattered as much. However I have an extensive history with studying zombie tactics (I've seen world war z a few times) and shooting while moving is better.

 
they just need to switch up the controls a bit, then it will be a great game.
