Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition PS4/XBox One

Pre-order to receive the limited edition artbook packaging. Get an insider's look at 28 pages of concept art that inspired the game's visual direction and art style.

Nice, Thanks SE for more artbook packaging. Hopefully I can find one used not too long after release at GS. Only problem I have, is that it should be $49.99 msrp. Metro Redux has two games and the is $49.99. I feel this should be the same.

I just want at least stereoscopic 3D to go with 1080p and 60fps. Can't believe they didn't have it in Tomb Raider Definitive Edition. How can they call it definitive when the PC's non definitive version has it. lol

yeah, i agree with the pricing. this was one of my favorite open world game , before gta v came out. i will rebuy it to support the developers. when i get a ps4. lol

Great game, cannot wait for the sequel. I'm Wei Shen motherfucker!!
You mean, 我係 Wei Shen, 你老母個閪 ! ;) His voice acting was too ABC though. They should have a real native do it next time. Some of the minor characters' voice work were actually very well done by natives.

I had to look up that "ABC" meant American-born Chinese.

Btw the voice actor for Wei Shen (who did an exceptional job IMO) is currently on True Blood playing Mr. Gus, a Japanese business exec who affects a Texas accent.

Yeah, he certainly did a good job in Sleeping Dogs. I just personally prefer a native person doing the main character for a game based 100% in Hong Kong. I can see why they used him though since the game is marketed mainly for the west.

Well Wei Shen was born in HK but raised in San Francisco and had just returned from the USA right before the game started IIRC.

Pretty cool, but I'd rather they did a sequel than just repackaging the same game with prettier graphics.

Because neither the PS4 nor the Xbox One supported 3D Blu-ray when that game was released.

Is that the real reason? I know PS4 just got the 3D blu-ray firmware couple weeks ago but I have played Trine 2 Complete Story before that firmware and it has stereoscopic 3d. It was a launch game too, before Tomb Raider DE was released.

Im sure the real reason is because no one gives a shit about 3d and its practically dead as of now. They dont pimp 3d movies at theaters hardly at all, no one talks about 3d tv's anymore and video games have virtually stopped bothering with them. Why? Because ive never heard of a single person saying "im glad that game was in 3d and I enjoyed it so much because of it". Motion controls and 3d are dying gimmicks, now vr and 4k resolutions are the big things coming up, who the hell cares about 3d anymore?

The one and only time anyone ever talked positively about 3d was for avatar and it cost like 200 million dollars and had the talent of one of Hollywood's most technically savvy directors behind it and the movie still wasnt very good. That was also years ago and no game or movie has even begun to be able to do what it did or even find a good use for it.

Wasn't Wei Shen a Chinese-American who was just living in China? So him having a Chinese accent wouldn't really make sense.

If I remember correctly.

That's true in the story, but the character should have some Cantonese speaking capabilities instead of full on English. Likewise with the main HK cops and the gangster's sister. The gangster's mother at the restaurant however was very well done. :) Like Jackie Chan's movies, if the scenes are in America, he would speak English with Chinese accent. If the scenes are in Hong Kong, he would speak Chinese.

Trine 2 wasn't on a disc. Several downloadable PS4 games were released in 3D, but that was the only way. Being able to display 3D graphics in PSN games and the system reading 3D Blu-ray discs are two separate things.

That's about all I can tell you, anyway. It never did make any sense to me why the PS4 didn't have 3D Blu-ray support from the beginning, given the fact that PS3 has had it for a while.
