Beginning August 19th, all specially marked Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare Cheetos snacks will get you $10 off the game on any platform, and a code to redeem online. That single redemption will get you ALL of the following:

1) A code for your platform of choice (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation 4) granting you Dr. Chester and Chester Chomper characters in-game, in addition to a Craaazy Sticker Pack containing a mix of consumables, accessories, and items.
2) An entry to win a custom designed Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or a custom controller in the daily* sweepstakes

Each code redeemed after that will grant you an additional Craaazy Sticker Pack, and another entry into the sweepstakes.

Are the products already in-store?

I have always had the problem/thought that in my area they almost never are available right away.

Good thing I saw this, I was planning on getting this game tomorrow for PS4, I was at Target yesterday but didn't know about thus. Have to track them down.

The article says that it starts on the 19th (tomorrow) so it wouldn't be in stores quite yet, I assume. And then I'd even still give Targets and extra day or two just so they can go through their Cheetos stock on the shelves before putting up these ones.

 
Curious to see expiration date. With Target consistently doing the preorder card promo would be pretty easy to get the PS4 version for $25 off bringing it to $15.

I could also see this being a cheap Black Friday game if it last that long.
 
They also have a deal where if you buy the game along with the Cheetos you get a $10 GC. If it's a different promo this should stack, and if  you got the preorder card you're looking at $25 off (GC and coupon factored in) for a day one game. Not bad.

 
Closest Target is two hours away. I already pre-ordered the game digitally too.

Bummer, but at least I don't have to eat Cheetos so really in the end I win.

This seems nice, might get the PS3 version of this.  I like the Cheetos Mix-Ups, specifically the blue one Xtra Cheesy.  Might have to snag a bag.  Thanks for posting this.

 
So not only will it have a $10 off coupon in it, but you get a $10 gift card if you buy both? Is it just me or did Target not think this promo through or really wanted to move copies of PVZ. \Guess I'll have to buy a pack of Cheetos, open the bag, then come back and buy more Cheetos to use the coupon and get the game. Or, open the bag at the store, which, having worked in retail, isn't that uncommon if people know they're gonna buy something.

you go to target, and pick up a copy of pvz garden warfare for either ps3, or ps4, along with a 14oz pack cheetos. then head to the cashier register to pay for it. after paying the total amount, you receive a $10 target gift card

I think it's more like pick up a copy of PVZ (PS3/PS4) along with Cheetos. I think the Cheetos packs have a $10 coupon (probably stickered in front of the bag) then when buying both you get a $10GC. Hopefully this is the case.
 
Sweet! Thanks OP! Was gonna buy this for my bros at Best Buy, but if this stacks with the GC offer, that'd be awesome! Hopefully the two bags needed aren't any more than $5 total.

 
Shame PvZ: GW is a throwaway online-only game, no SP content at all. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Sounds like you're getting a $10 Target gift card. There is no $10 off coupon, so you're still paying $40 for the game and whatever for the Cheetos.
 
Willing to bet this is one of a massive slew of sales this game gets before it ends up in EA's vault in the moderately near future

(id bet right around/after all the Halloween sales)

See, that's what I thought, but the original FB post is misleading, since it says it will get you $10 OFF the game, and this promo gets you a gift card, I guess we'll find out once someone finds a bag.

It is part of Origin's Game Time on PC right now. It is what helped me decide to preorder it. Wish I heard of this before I preordered it but oh well.

PS: I preordered on PSN so no backing out of that one.

At least everything in this one is advertised for all platforms.  They had a similar Cheetos promo at Target for Just Dance 2014, and the DLC turned out to only be for the xbox and wii versions of the game (even though they didn't really specify that in the ad).  Granted, that appears to be Ubisoft's doing since EVERY free DLC promo for Just Dance 2014 excluded the Sony consoles.  But still.

 
I did not see any specific bag of Cheetos with either the code or any coupon for P vs Z: GW @ 2 Target's that my wife took me to earlier.  I would be interested in this deal IF I could get the $10 coupon and $10 Gift Card at the same time, but alas, it looks too good to be true.

It might be worth a look later, but I have some Diablo III to dig into first....

Btw, I think when they did this deal with Just Dance 2014, the DLC codes were under a sticker on the Cheetos bag, and it automatically rang up with a $10 Target gift card when you bought both. 

I'm not seeing anything on the site CodeTrader just posted saying that the bags contain $10 off coupons, so between similar past deals and the site, I'm thinking the "$10 off" announcement might have just been a badly worded announcement for a $10 gift card only...but I guess we'll see.

From what I understand, no bots, but there is a split-screen coop mode (local) for offline play. I would have bought the game if it had some SP content, but it doesn't.

there is no $10 coupon
you get a $10 Target GC for purchasing the game with Cheetos at Target
you get a code with the Cheetos to go on the site/portal to redeem for in game content and to enter a sweepstakes

Doesn't even have local co-op.

Edit: Well nvm, 360/ps3 doesnt but PS4/X1 does so I might give this a chance.
