I'm super excited for new courses, more than anything else.

Already preordered, got the 2.0 update, and the Mercedes vehicles.

Hopefully I'll get to play a bit this weekend.

Wonder if these will be available for CN? Hmmm. But yeah 2 gigs for both, include 16 new tracks, wonder if they include reversed tracks as well?

I wonder if the triforce cup include zelda specific tracks, that would be so awsome, they need to advertise that if it did.

So dissapointed about the  reskin Mario and Peach, Dry bowser is also an old char.  Also anyone going online, isn't it a madatory 2 gig update even if you are not going to buy the DLC to race with online players with the DLC?

What makes me excited is $12 for both. I mean your getting 16 tracks for $12. That's basically half of a MK game for $12.

The rest is gravy to me. Going to pre order once I get home.

IF they start putting chars and tracks from other series besides Mario, they might as well rename the series to Super Smash Kart. Charging for the New Tracks I can understand but new chars and karts, shouldn't that be included in a free update where they are unlockable?

I did  a quick download of the new M.Benz karts but skipped the pre-order deal just so that I could get a couple of races in before work.

I'll do the pre-order tonight

I would love to get Samus and a variation of her ship. Hopefully sometime in 2015 (fingers crossed.)

I do not usually purchase DLC but Nintendo knows how to do DLC right. Mario Kart 8 was already a complete game (minus the terrible battle mode.) This is a dream come true.

Speaking as someone that's really critical of Nintendo's moves in the past, I think this is great.  I don't believe for a minute that these were stripped from the base game in order to sell DLC as some folks suggest.  MK8 has the same number of races as the the last few MK games.  $12 for 50% more content?  I can't say I've ever seen a deal like that with the exception of XBL/PSN deals on really old DLC like "hey you can have this Oblivion DLC for a buck since everyone wants Skyrim now!".

Now for my typical complaints, 2GB of downloads?  WTF?  Maybe it would have been better if it was already on the disc to save space.  Even with the 32GB model, I'm running low on space.  Nintendo must realize their mistake with usng a few gigs of flash instead of a real hard drive by now.  Oh, I know people can buy an external hard drive but give me a fucking break - it shouldn't be necessary on a "modern" console after a year.  I've tried a flash drive based on recommendations here and it works fine with a couple of games I tried (though slower than system memory).  The problem here is that you shouldn't need additional memory units, especially this soon.  Every freebie they do now is a downloadable game.

Battle mode- FIX THAT!  I can't believe they didn't address that.  I'd give them 10 bucks just to give me half a dozen real battle arenas.

All in all, this is a great update and I can't imagine any world in which someone that likes MK games wouldn't buy this.  I bought the bundle to save a few dollars and get immediate access to the little bonuses they give with it.

It's certainly not ideal, but you could always delete a game you haven't played for awhile and redownload it another time. The save files are kept separate from the game ones, so you don't have to lose your progress at all.

I actually like that Nintendo made it easy to add an external drive, thereby not forcing everyone to pay for more storage up front than they might need, but I understand where you're coming from.

Yeah, this sounds pretty good to me. $12 for all that content is pretty reasonable, especially since I got 2 free games thanks to the promo at release!

The point I'm making is that they should have put a hard drive inside of it. Yes it's easy to add an external hard drive but I have no desire to do that. The Wii U was supposed to be their "modern" system.
