I know we have a ton of different food related topics on restaurants et al but I thought it might be fun to have a food topic that covers some of the culture behind it: religion, custom, ritual, etc.
While I can't speak on some of this being a clear cut was(no p anymore) I hope some others may speak on these things. I know there are more cultures to mention here but the tags maximum is only 10. I hope you will forgive me if you're excluded here.
Just to throw out a starter how about covering some Ashkenazi food and how Judaism shaped some of it? I hope to hear a few people specifically explain their experience regarding it.
