I'm not really sure if it constitutes as a "deal", but it's still great if you can't wait to get your hands on the new Captain America movie. Over the past few years, I've noticed my local Walgreens has been selling new movies at least 1 - 1.5 weeks before the official street date. CA:tWS has a street date of 9/9 but I have it in hand now (having paid MSRP) as of 8/31. YMMV obviously

Interesting....I'm good though I can wait till SD and get it cheaper then have it right now.

Also might want to PM a mod and ask them to fix dat title. ;)

No it does not constitute a deal at all because no one is saving money at all in any way, shape, or form. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out what deal means.

Do the registers actually let you purchase these "premature releases" ...?

I know the big box stores occasionally put out releases ahead of street date, everyone gets their panties in a twist and then try to cash out and the register denies the sale because it's ahead of the set date... not that I have any interest in walking into a WG for much of anything, ever.

Getting something a week early is still information worth sharing even if the price isn't any huge savings.

I appreciate the heads up, especially in this relatively slow forum.

Getting the movie early is a deal in time. Time is money. :D/

Walgreens near me had CA2:TWS out and I had to do a double take.
DVD only though, so I passed.

I checked my store yesterday- no luck at all.  It's just as well, though, as I'm after the 3D version, and Walgreen's probably won't carry it.  If they do, it will probably be selling for way more than any other store has it next week.

one thing for sure is we won't get 3d of anything at least in my district because no one would buy it with the extreme price. So its blu ray dvd pack or just dvd pack.
