My 80GB Fat PS3 died the other night and got the Yellow Light of Death, so now I'm in the market for a new PS3.

I'm open to buying used, but I'm only considering Slim PS3s (I hear the YLOD issue is far less common in them). At this point, what would be my cheapest options for both new AND used PS3s? And are there any upcoming price drops? Would I be better off waiting till Black Friday?

Frys sometimes has the 12GB model for $179.99. Blak Friday usually brings 500GB models for $199.99. Those are some good new options.
 
Craigslist. With so many desperate to dump their PS3s for this brand new system, they have to jump on the bandwagon. In my area $150 is the going price with a few games and controllers.

 
I would check cowboom.com, I got a mint original slim 3001A model for $100 shipped, grade 6 complete with everything. If your getting a grade 6 item, it will be close to like new!

 
Flea markets are always an option.  I got one a few weeks ago for $10 that had a bad laser.  After $25 and about a half hour of work, I have a perfectly working 250GB slim.
