Thief is $12.99 (PS4/XB1) or $9.99 (PS3/X360) w/FS at Gamefly if anyone cares...

It stayed this price since the sale last month. I ordered one during the sale and ended up trading it into GS during the 50% off bonus and been considering rebuying...

Is there any doubt this will be a free GwG at some point?  It sold poorly and received generally bad reviews.  Pretty sure publisher/developer would be glad to get money from MS and give this away for free.  Save your money if you have an Xbox.

Yeah SQEnix has had Hitman absolution and Sleeping dogs as GWGs, so Thief is definitely a good candidate for free somewhere down the line

I'm usually easy to please when it comes to games. Made it past first chapter then traded it in. Boring as watching paint dry on a pile of snails.

Wow, I can understand the poor reviews from cag at $60. At $13 it is still not worth it!?!? Frankly I am a little shocked, but the way software are produced these days... I am not too shocked.

never bought from gamefly before. are the games usually complete? Might grab this for some quick achievement points and would keep it on the shelf if it is complete

Yep. They're always complete with case & manual and usually in really great condition.

Yeah. The manuals/cases don't get used at all, so those are usually pristine. The games are for the most part really good too.

I know, I did and regret it completely. Never really got into it. I tried again today...I'll probably just work my way through the main story...
is it really that bad I was hyped as for this game but when the reviews came out for like 5/10 or 6/10 I just didnt even bother renting it from gamefly

Nope.  It's not worth the value of a napkin that a nose blew into.  You'd have more fun lighting a $10 bill on fire and considering what you've done while you watch it burn.  Terrible game.

Thanks for the heads up regardless, OP.  Someone might want to fool themselves into giving this a try.

dude this thing is a piece of shit. I got lucky and I traded it into gamestop during the 50% bonus because base value was 18 bucks.

Dishonored is what this game should have been, instead this is clunky and I feel like the scenery is pretty dark and dull. I made it through the second mission before I quit.

Overall just a shitty game. If you really got a hard on for it, this is a decent price. It's really not worth 10 Bucks though, get dishonored instead. I love the thief series, and really wanted this. Luckily I didn't have the cash when it was new and had to wait until it was 13 in gamefly. For one being broke worked out in my favor.

i mean is the game that bad for real??
I got this game as a part of an AMD promo, then hesitated about playing it when the bad reviews flooded in.

Then I saw my favorite YouTuber post this well-thought, mostly-spoiler-free, in-game rant explaining his numerous frustrations with the stealth mechanic....and I have never had the desire to try it out on Steam.

If you are a stealth game that can't make enemy AI even semi-intelligent, you fail. The end.

I mean it starts ok stealing shit is pretty cool but like 5 missions in it gets so dumb you're in like some catacombs sneaking past scary ghouls wtf

Demo was so bad. And combined with user impressions, it's an easy pass.

Not surprising to see it so cheap already.

I liked it and still have mine just like Duke Nukem.  Now Alien Isolation I can almost understand, but I played and beat that to, though as a rental.  If anyone cares...nope I didn't think so.   :D/

If Tigerdirect puts this on sale for $9.99, I'll most likely pick up a copy. Played a little bit on my PS4 and thought it was OK. Hard to say no to a game that's $10 or less.

Rented this from gamefly only to return it the same day. This game is atrocious and shame on Square Enix for releasing this game. I love stealth games but this game is all around bad.

What's so bad on the game? I played the demo for a bit but I really wasn't in the "mood" for it so I didn't give it much of a chance. It was more that I didn't want to learn a new IP/franchises mechanics, etc. Wanted something simple at the time or something I was more familiar with.

If it hits sub $10 on PS4 at a local store (or somewhere I can PM, BB) then I'd be hard-pressed to ignore it at a low price even if it isn't good.

I bought this at full price.... on steam pretty much suicidal with regret its ok doe destiny dinklage edition for 50 dollars makes uhp for it.

The X360 version trades in to GS with PUR for $18.70.  So worse case if you can't stand the game you could double your money.

I thought I'd like the game, normally I do, but I found it rather bad.  This game will surely be a $5 game in a few months.  It's worth $5, but $10 is pushing it IMO.

FYI for anyone buying it for a quick 1000 GS...it's not that quick.  You need to find every "secret area" in every zone and there is no indicator in-game.  There are over 100 of these locations and you'll need to follow a guide.  You also need to play it in a no-detection, no kill mode as well.  I did 1000'd it, but it required 2 play-throughs as the stealth mechanic is poor enough that you would be terribly frustrated trying to do it in one pass.  The story is forgettable but it's not that bad to go through the story just murdering everyone.  The Asylum level was pretty interesting, though.

I'll play almost any game for the right price but my cousin bought this and returned it two days later. Warned me to stay away from it even for free. =-/
I don't get why, nor why all the hate for this game. I've been playing it and enjoying every minute. Did people expect it to be Dudebro CoD Deathmatch or something?

Thief was a pretty good game for a one play through story i see 0 replay value but for 10-12 bucks you cant really go wrong. Its a typical sneaky stealth game that requires taking your time and easing through each quest. Granted if you lower the difficulty you can just go in there swinging and running through. But this game has been on sale for ever even when i first bought it last year it was 16.99 more then likely the longer you wait the cheaper it will get or xbox will give it away for free once the game value drops to nothing.

Dudebro, lol, what snob gamer bullshit. Most likely term made up by a Sony fan that hates the success of Halo and Gears Of War.

I think people expected a good game. That's all.
