Ultra Street Fighter 4 $30 at amazon

Does Best Buy usually drop their Preowned price during a weekly sale? I thought they only dropped it during an MSRP drop...if so, I will have this damn thing soon.

I'm gonna buy it somewhere, either way.

Usually not, but in this case they did drop the pre-owned price to $27.99. However, if you have Gamer's Club Unlocked, it's still cheaper to buy it new.

New: $29.99 - 20% GCU = $23.99

Used: $27.99 - 10% GCU = $25.19

Thanks, just ordered. Good deal for all the content (Since I havent really touched it since SSF4), plus it will free up a ton of space on my PS3 HDD.

i can't wait for street fighter 5
It ain't coming anytime soon, just like DOA6.

Will wait for the inevitable Super Ultra Street Fighter IV for Xbox One/PS4.
You might be right. The 2nd highest milking fighting game Dead or Alive 5 is porting its third iteration to PS4/ XBO. I believe Capcom and Koei Tecmo are looking at each other to see who can milk their titles more. Now Capcoms sees DOA5 is going to new gen systems, they are definitely taking note and preparing a version of their own for the new systems.

Exactly what I'm waiting for at this point, too. At this point, there's no reason for Capcom NOT to port it to the PS4 with all the DLC absent from Ultra.
There's DLC missing? Is it costumes or is it characters and stuff that I give a crap about?

WTF?

I really should just not buy this and play more Injustice or Mortal Kombat, and the other fighting games I have. The only version of SF4 I played is the DS one.

I just hope SF5 isn't a boring and sluggish POS like SF4.
Kind of agree. Input lag was terrible and made many of the later fights in the game unbearable.

Capcom is done, though. I used to give games a chance just for saying "Capcom" in the corner, now that's the kiss of death.

Best you get is something like MvC3... which just makes you want to play MvC2.

Yup. When Dreamcast was king, Capcom games were a must buy.

Wonderful, now I can't price match. :(

Looks like it's $38.95 by a 3rd party guy now.

I ordered one from Worst Buy, I guess I do want to play this damn thing, even if it was released 6 years ago.

PS3 version has something wrong....

FYI - I purchased the ps3 ver from BB yesterday.  I can't play it however, the game is looping me at a screen bugging me to make a save file - doesn't matter if I agree or not :(

Not sure what to do exactly.  I need to get a save file made I suppose but probably will have to use a older version of SF4.

Latest FW for ps3 slim + latest update for USF4.

Apparently not a known issue as I don't see much via intrawebs search.

Also not that it matters but some pros and cons of PS3 vs 360 as I have interpreted over the years, don't see a lot of info on this anymore and please don't quote me for truth as this is just secondary info:

- 360 does 1080p but the game is native at 720p so the 360 is just using its internal upscaling + AA for the final picture.  PS3 doesn't use AA and runs only 720p (which is apparently how arcade machines run it).

- "2 frames" of input lag on ps3 if you are a frame counter.

- Load times worse on ps3

- Better (more skilled) competition on PSN and supposedly overseas players mostly on PS3.

- Better fightpad options for ps3 and/or adapted ps2 pads.

- I've never been but apparently the most recent EVO had the game up on 360's.

- Easier to mod a 360 fightstick for ps3 compatibility than other way around thanks to MS encryption on their controllers.

Especially with DOA coming to next gen consoles.

Trollono keeps saying it won't happen but I have my doubts. Putting it on the X1/PS4 gives it more shelf life and may help it stay strong at tournaments. Hell, SFIV is the only game I care about at EVO for the most part still outside of those Justin Wong UMVC3 matches.

Also doesn't help how supposedly easy it is to port games from PC to X1/PS4, and theres already a Ultra SF on the PC.

I've skipped a lot of 360 games the last year or two in hopes of re-masters on X1/PS4 and/or for them to be $10 or less. I win either way IE it goes dirt cheap or get a re-mastered version down the road. In fact the only two games I'm probably going to get are Splinter Cell Blacklist and Lords of Shadow 2 eventually knowing the remaster chances are lower (360 wise). I'm defenitely skipped Borderlands 1.5 for the same reason.

To be fair DOA5 isn't even that old. It came out in Sept. 2012 and Ultimate came out a year after. DOA4 came out in 2006 when the Xbox 360 launched so it isn't crazy they decided to make multiple versions considering the amount of time spent on 5. I actually was waiting on them to port it to current generation (XB1 / PS4) so I am pretty happy. I also don't mind rebuying my favorite fighting game / series of all time and I do own all the versions (Vanilla, Plus, and Ultimate). I don't think you would either considering your avatar.... :p

I think we would probably see a DOA6 in 2016 or 2017 depending on what other games Team Ninja is working on which I suspect is the next game in the Ninja Gaiden series. Still, DOA5 Last Round will hold people over considering it will be what the second big fighting game on current generation after Killer Instinct. I don't really think Injustice took off especially since it was only ported to PS4.

If anything Capcom was already considering a next generation port. All of these fighting games (DOA, Persona, MK, Injustice, etc) are copying Capcoms model. SF4, SSF4, SSF4A, USF and they have been doing these with all of their fighting games.

At least Dead or Alive's coming out with its final version in Spring.
How you know it will be the final version? Previously, Ultimate versions mean the very last edition for any game. DOA manages to break that rule so now you have "Final Round". Is it really final, only Koei Tecmo knows. There could easily be a Dead or Alive 5 Final Round Ultimate Plus in 2016. ;)

Yeah, the drought between DOA4 and 5 was quite long, nearly 7 years, and there were no DLC milking on DOA4 back then. Koei Tecmo would probably wants to make some money to cover those years with these annual releases + super expensive DLCs. As a fan of both DOA and Ninja Gaiden, I naturally give them my wallet every time no matter if it's good or bad (NG3 *cry*). The only thing I would ask from them is to charge less on the costume DLCs. I bought pretty much all the costumes for DOA5U without discounts which have been well over $200 and counting. So yeah, what's another $40 for a PS4 version of the game. ;)

I've bought Injustice on the PS4 during the last PS+ sale and it was a pretty lazy port to be honest. It's just an uprez'ed PS3 version. They kept all the weak 30fps stage transitions. I hope DOA5FR on new gen systems would get rid of the 30 fps cap of the character posing and add the brief skippable replay after each match like all of the previous DOAs and any Japanese fighting game for that matter.

2 frames now? thought it was 1 frame lag on all fighting games on PS3 vs the 360.
Let's be real here. I'm pretty sure most of us aren't on the level where we are saying that the 2 frames of input lag are throwing off your combos. Wish I could say I was at that level of playing ability!

Neither am I but was just shocking to hear the differences are greater now. The pros will definitely chose the 360 version.

I'm in the same boat. I've bought pretty much every DOA / NG game released. I also own ultimate on both consoles and will probably end up buying Last Round on both Xbox One and PS4 due to split friend groups on consoles. I too have spent a decent penny on the costumes but I tend to only buy them when I get the MS points on sale or for cheap so in retrospect am not paying full price.

One cool thing to note is that Last Round has been confirmed to be 60 FPS and native 1080p on both Xbox One and Ps4 so you have that to look forward to. I hope the servers are better since we are moving to current gen. Less lag is always welcome when playing fighters online. Who knows though?

That's good hear that it will be 100% 60fps. That 30 fps during posing gets on my nerve at bit since no previous DOA game did that. As for better servers just for new gen systems, that has its down side. It means it won't be cross playable with last gen versions which equals to fewer playable players online.

I ordered its cd key at 25% off. Cdkeyhouse is running an offer on the cd key of Ultra Street Fighter IV, I got 25% discount on the original price of Ultra Street Fighter IV cd key. I just paid, $21.99 for the key.

My Dreamcast is still hooked up, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is inside of it.
I got a Dreamcast for $1 at a yard sale, that was the only game I ever owned.

I was a scrub at marvel 2 and still played way to much of it. Still enjoy getting my ass kicked in it at the local arcade
Until our arcade shut down, that was the one place you knew I would be at the mall. I owned the DC and PS2 versions, but I was best at the Arcade. Probably because I didn't have a stick for either console.

I miss that game, MvC3 just wasn't quite as good.

yeah I thought mvc3 wasnt kinda crappy although watching people who are actually good at the game interests me
