If you met the requirements (Elite 2014, registered a 3DS or a 3DS software product, and have notifications turned on) for the code but did not receive the email, Nintendo has put up a help section for the Smash Bros. Demo Codes

Click ME

Under the "I didn't receive the e-mail with the download codes," there is a link to their Contact Us form. Be sure to include your e-mail and your Club Nintendo Username.

I had a friend who e-mailed them this morning and they responded back with a phone number, which when he called they confirmed that he should get a code and said they would call him back with the code. That is where he is in the process. I sent an email about 30 minutes ago and I haven't heard anything yet but I figure with it being Saturday night, it will be Monday before I hear back. SovereignNX pm'd me a code last night but I have some students at school who will absolutely freak if they are able to get this on their 3DS with unlimited replays since they probably wouldn't be able to get the game until much later.  :)

While you might have to wait until Monday for the code, I figure the value of the code is in the unlimited plays that it gives over the limited public release.

Some might not consider this post a deal, but if this saves someone from paying for a demo code, it is saving them money. It will also get the community some more codes to distribute.

Also, I am making this it's own topic so that it doesn't get buried in the code requests of the other topics. I did try to search for anyone else posting this but couldn't find anyone mentioning the website.

Hope this helps someone.

Edit: My friend got his codes on Sunday. I have talked with them and they forwarded my account to the promotions department and that I should get the codes.

Also, if you have a Wii U be sure to get those notifications turned on in case they do this for the Wii U version in November. Hopefully, they will have all the kinks worked out if they do it.

stupid me didn't have the box checked on my account so that's the reason i didn't get a code.  i sent them an email anyway to see if maybe they'll send one

Yes, and have there be a limit to how much you'll be able to play.  Why not try and see if we can get codes when we should have in the first place?  Not all of us even knew this code deal was happening.

Thanks for the heads up.  I have a feeling by the time they resolve the issue, it will be almost next Friday for the public release.

I'm a little hurt after seeing people trying to sell these codes on eBay. :(

I got a code set and helped out some Plat members that didn't get the email.

I wonder if Nintendo has seen any of the eBay auctions?

If I was them and I saw it? No one would get anything for free anymore and I would just say "This is why we can't give you nice things"

I hope all you good guys get everything worked out!

Ah... shit, didn't see that I have to have a 3DS registered for the code (got my system used so no code for me). I also don't get why I'm at 600 points but it still says I need 10 points for Platinum.

Oh well, guess I'm not getting a code.:whistle2:

Probably had 10 points left over from before 2014 year starter.

You guys.. seriously.. the demo goes public in FIVE DAYS... what's with the crying and gnashing of teeth over this?  The OP provided good info.  If it wasn't checked, your bad.  Next time you'll ask Nintendo to email you weekly so you don't miss something.  Otherwise, it's only a couple more days to go.

in case something like this happens again

Just got an automated reply.  You must call customer service for the codes.  Emailing will not get you anywhere.

Took less than 10 minutes.  Support will verify your eligibility over the phone.  They will then open a service request ticket.  Be sure to ask for a reference number, in case you need to call back.  There is no ETA when it will be resolved because they have a lot of requests.

THIS IS AN AUTOMATED REPLY

Thanks for contacting us. We apologize for the automated reply to your email, but due to increased volumes because of the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS demo promotion it's the fastest way to get back to you. Please read on to (hopefully) find your answer.

I'm sure I qualified but didn't receive an email: All of the emails have gone out now, so if you didn't get one, it's quite possible that you didn't qualify for one reason or another. However, if you're sure, please call us at 855-214-2043. We're available to take your call seven days a week 6:00am to 7:00pm Pacific time. Even if you didn't happen to qualify, you're still eligible to get the demo that will be made available to the general public on September 19th in the Nintendo eShop.

I opted out of receiving marketing email. Do I still qualify? I'm sorry, but this was a critical requirement. It's important to note that you had to be opted in prior to the announcement, so opting in later won't qualify you. Remember that you're still eligible to get the demo that will be made available to the general public on September 19th in the Nintendo eShop.

I couldn't access the Club Nintendo website: It's true that the Club Nintendo website had some heavy traffic recently, but even if you had been able to access your account and opt in or register a Nintendo 3DS-family product, it wouldn't have helped you qualify as those things had to be done before the announcement was made.

My code didn't work! If you were the one who received the codes from Nintendo, please call us at 855-214-2043. We're available to take your call seven days a week 6:00am to 7:00pm Pacific time. If you received the code from someone else, please speak to that person.

Can I have a free code anyway? Your free copy of the demo will be available for download on the 19th from the Nintendo eShop-no codes necessary.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.

i got the automated reply also, did you meet all of the requirements and just simply did not get a code? as i said before, i was opted out of marketing emails, so i think even a call would be a waste of time. i'll probably just wait for the full game as i have it pre-ordered

You do know we have a free section right?
Yep but I figured a lot of the traffic from the codes would be in the main forum and posting it in the free section would not be as beneficial to the community. Also, seeing as a person had to buy things to be qualified, it is not technically free.

My friend got his codes this morning. I got my e-mail and talked with them; they said I should receive an e-mail from Promotions team but did not give me a time frame. My e-mail was the same as the one posted above.

Also, during my call, they checked if I had notifications enabled through their computer and then, had to ask me if I had changed my notification in the last week. My guess is that they cannot check when someone has changed their notifications and have to rely on the person to be honest so for those who don't mind lying, you could try to get in on it.
