A "just launched" Amazon Seller is selling Astro a40 for 139.99 + shipping. I personally have bought a pair for myself. Last night, the seller had 11 quantity left over. I just checked now, the seller currently has 28 "in-stock". I received an email this morning from the seller saying --

"Our shipment of Astros come on Oct 1, your item will be delivers on Oct 6, if you dont recieve your product by Oct 6, your money will be refunded."

My question is... why is the seller, selling an item which they obviously don't have stock on hand?

Any feedback/comment is welcome. Let me know what you guys think.

At the moment, I feel like I should cancel and   fuck these guys with a bad feedback.

I think this is becoming, or is already, something sellers on Amazon and eBay etc do. They sell something they don't have in stock then ship when they do acquire it. This may or may not be intentional in this case though.

As of late I have seen a lot of items on eBay for sale and in the title description it also states "in hand", which speaks for itself.

You could message the seller(s) about your item and possibly work something out ie partial rebate or shipping refund etc.

Other then that it's your call. If you feel this was done on purpose do as you see fit. I hope all works out well though and good luck fellow CAG.

Can't say for sure, but Astro's ebay store gives you a 20% discount when you spend over a $10 at their store. Their A40 headsets are $149.99, but with the 20% discount and free shipping = $119.99. The seller might be buying up their ebay store stock.

Also, their is a new set of Astro gear coming out later this year. They are most likely getting rid of their current inventory to make room for the new one. Can't say if there are any improvements of the new gear, but they do have different color schemes (which looks pretty nice, imo) for the new gear.
