Controls are smooth, very fun with friends. Couch co-op is supported, and 2 players can get through the game okay. The final boss may need some retries but that's about it.

I played solo through the entire campaign on Normal difficulty, I had a lot of fun. My main character was Naya (warp gun, the coolest gun!), who I think is the best solo character because you can cloak to flank the mechs (hardest enemies in the game) yourself rather than wait for your teammates to distract it. I mostly switched between the other characters as backup when battles got hectic and I started running out of ammo, or to target specific enemy weaknesses (Jacob vs. riot shield guys).

Your teammate AI is generally competent at reviving you, but you will have to do most of the shooting. You don't have to do much babysitting to avoid them getting killed (aside from the final boss, but he was a piece of cake anyway), although sometimes if you get killed in the middle of no cover, you'll end up caught in a revive/death loop because they'll run out in the open to try and help you. So basically as long as you don't Rambo halfway across the map, it's fine.

I also played through solo and enjoyed it.  There's not a whole lot to it (just a short campaign and a single other mode) but for that price, it's worth it.

"used" used or "new" used? Gohastings guts games in-store a la Gamestop, and when you order from their website, they actually often ship out store stock directly from the stores. So it's probably an annoying gutted store display copy unless it actually says used.

Disc is pretty scratched. I'm guessing "used" used.
