EA Sports UFC (X1 and PS4) - $29.99 @ Amazon

Game is total different than it was at launch. Props to the devs trying to fix it. Rumor is yet another patch is coming tomorrow, with possible free fighters. From the patch notes the hardcore players are liking what they see.

Game has gotten so much better. Expecting the same with NHL 15 with patches
Same. Rumor was they pulled devs from NHL15 to fix UFC , now they are going back to NHL. You'd think EA had an army of devs with the money they make on Ultimate Team packs.

As others have mentioned, they’ve patched this game repeatedly and the final product is exceptional. I’ve played every MMA game made and this is, overall, the best.

And that demo was rough; missing animations, glitch-ridden, etc.

I wouldn’t predicate your purchase on the demo.

I was pretty good with UFC 2010, but damn I played the demo on PS4 and I'm getting my ass kicked on easy. Doesn't help that they changed most of the controls too

Last I checked the striking was too much like rock'em sock'em robots.

I just wanted the combat just like undisputed 3, love that one on ps3. But thq made it. :/

Not only was the striking bad but the ground game was rotten french bread. I refuse to believe they fixed the game to the point where it's fun for us casuals.

For all of you having trouble liking the game, you would enjoy it more with a free code to download the Bruce Lee playable character.  :)

PM me your choice of console and I'll reply with a code.

The striking in Undisputed 3 was far more akin to Rock'em Sock'em Robots than EA UFC.

One solid counter or hefty blow in EA UFC can turn a fight.

Just mashing away at the buttons will get you dropped pretty rapidly.

I like the UFC but Jon "Eye-Poke" Jones is a terrible person and I refuse to support him. I live here in his hometown where he crashed a car drunk with 2 prostitutes and pretty much got away with it. He's an arrogant jerk who will snub you away if you even ask for an autograph. I eagerly await the day someone figures out his evade tactics and reach.

Can someone go a little more in-depth about the improvements? The demo bummed me out, especially the ground game and I've heard not too great things about the career mode. Have either of those been improved?

Then you should love this game online. Everyone you meet in LW will be using Jones. Youll get to kick his ass non-stop!

Go buy it used.. You wont be supporting him at all.

I'm enjoying this UFC game and I loved Undisputed 3. I never played it pre patches, so I can't say how it was then. It isn't perfect by any means. The ground/clinch game is kind of awkward and took me a while to get used to. Striking game is fun, though there are some things you can try to spam(body leg kicks) but if you get good at parrying you should be able to stop it. If you're a UFC/MMA fan, I would say you'll like the game.

Sour this wasn't released on last gen.

I think many game devs are overplaying their hand doing broad interest generation exclusives so early in the life cycle of the console costing them many game sales by those who haven't made the jump to next generation yet.

Very few games have been next gen exclusive. A lot of the big games this holiday are all systems.

I paid $60 for this about a week ago and I think it was worth every penny.

The gameplay is superb. The controls take getting used to but everything from the character models to the animations and the collision detection are 99% of the time, top-notch. It is significantly improved from the demo.

My only complaint is that the career mode is extremely shallow.

EA MMA was 100x better.

I can't tell because I'm on mobile. Does his signature say he's paid by EA? Any normal person would say something like, "crap! I paid full price just last week! I wonder if I can get a post match."

So in this better game, spamming kicks to the stomach = instant tko

The skill!

Tempted to buy this game, the CAG in me can't resist a decent deal. Any chance this game will be 9.99 or something on Black Friday??

You're on the wrong site, buddy.

Ha. I haven't really been an active CAG for about a year and a half now. I gotta get back in the swing of things. AKA never mention you paid MSRP for anything in your adult life.

I still think the game is a great deal at $30, especially if you're already a UFC fan.

I played the demo and got my ass kicked on it. I bought the game sometime ago and still was getting my ass kicked at first. After some practice and learning the controls, the game gets easier to play. I also like that one good punch or kick which can turn the fight around. It happend to me a couple of times. I was playing the game with my nephew and beating the shit out of him on the game for 2 rounds. Then one lucky kick in the 3rd and he won the game. It was embrassing that a 29 year old lost to a 6 year old.

I just got my Xbox One 2 weeks ago on the BB free game/Free GCU deal. This game was on my list to get so thanks for the heads up!
