Disney Infinity 2.0 Sony Collector's Editions Cancelled at Gamestop?

So I just got a call from my local Gamestop telling me that they haven't received any copies of the special Collector's Edition of Disney Infinity 2.0 for PS4. He offered to try and find one for me, I assume from other local stores.

He said all they were told was a "technical problem".

Just a heads up for anyone else who may have had this item on order.

It's my fault for thinking I could do a very simple transaction with Gamestop.

 
For what its worth, a large number of people who got these (game is already out in EU as well as early deliveries in NA) have had massive issues with the frost giant stand. missing pieces and pieces that don't line up properly leading to ugly looking statues.

its possible that they were recalled due to QA issues.

I have an outstanding preorder as well, so i'll probably end up in the same boat but my guess is that's the culprit.

Thanks for that head's up. I ended up canceling my pre-order at Gamestop (they said they'd let me know if any came in) and pre-ordering one yesterday afternoon on Amazon. Early this morning Amazon gave me a delivery date of Friday but nothing has shipped yet.

 
I guess this wasnt just limited to BB then.  I somehow managed to get mine (they had 2 on the floor) even though my In-Store Pickup was screwed up and they pulled the Starter Pack.
