Help! I need a sub $700 gaming PC

LordOutlaw

CAGiversary!
I hope the my fellow cheapassgamers can help me.  I need a sub $700 gaming pc that doesn't suck. I looked at this unit at kmart which seems like decent specs, good power supply, graphics etc...

I admit I am a noob at PC gaming.  I am getting into it now because of my Son who is very into it.  This is a gift for him.  Here is the unit i am looking at:

CybertronPC 3.50GHz 8GB DDR3 Borg-DS9 AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Desktop PC Red w/ NVIDIA GeForce GT730 1TB HDD DVDRW WiFi DVDRW Windows 8.1  _ This is at kmart dot com I cannot post a link due to restrictions.

1. I cannot build a PC, I know it is cheaper but no can do, thanks but not an option.  must be store bought.

2. must run high res, high frame rate (30fps +

3. I would like your thoughts on the kmart pc above.

4. can I do better? if so where?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I know you are against building a PC, but it is a lot easier than you think.  It's not complicated at all.

What does your son like to play on PC?

I think you would be better off going after a rig with a APU, like a A10-7700k.  You can find those for around 600 -700 on sites like i buy power.

He plays GTA, Minecraft, on xbox or PS4 skyrim, Dragon age and stuff like that.  he would rather play on PC but his laptop is a dog so it cant keep up.  Do you have an ibuypower model # I can look up?

Thanks for your help.

You can also check local computer shops and see if they can build one for you.

Amazon and Newegg have a few.

The one thing I learned from looking toward a gaming PC is to make sure you can play everything you want before you buy it.
