wow great price for the XMen ultimate edition. so tempting but they announce there's another version coming out early next year with rogue in it. what to do.... what to do....

speak with your wallet and don't buy it since fox is attempting to double their cash knowing that we want this release as well as next year's. just wait. it'll be worth it. believe me

 
They cut out that footage for a reason (for all we know the extra sruff sucks) so Imma just snag the already great regular edition on bf for 10$ or less and call it a day

2 weeks after airing when its still free on the website, and on top of that WHY NO BLURAY,

I really hope this isn't the trend for the series, cause if so, sadly I will have to go all digital, which I really don't want to.

Also yeah dont bother buying DOFP, extended will be out early 2015, but since I do want to re-watch DOFP as is, I will probably nab a UV code for now.

They have been doing this for a while. Transformers Prime and Doctor Who both had their season premieres as separate releases shortly after their TV premiere.
 
I had no idea that a re-release of X-Men:DoFP will come out next year or that Rogue's footage was cut out. I'll wait.
 
Also, isn't it likely that the extended edition next year with the Rogue scenes won't be released in 3D?  Since they're both X-Men films from Fox, I'm assuming the DofP release next year will be like The Wolverine Unleashed Edition from last year- only the theatrical version was in 3D, not the extended edition.

 
So will the steelbook ver of Transformers Age of Extinction (Blu+DVD+DC) be $17.99 also

Wolverine was converted in post while DoFP was shot in 3D. So hopefully the extended cut will be released that way as well... But until an official confirmation comes out, who knows?
 
As with others I really wanted to get DoFP tomorrow but I'll be waiting for the extended edition next year. I won't be supporting Fox's shitty money making schemes by buying the same movie twice. 

 
The Rogue stuff is getting a separate release because her getting cut generated a lot of buzz in the spring. It'll also give Fox a platform to pimp their dead-on-arrival Fantastic Four movie.

I'm getting the Trask Files because of cool packaging and that Rogue is the most boring character in these movies. She really won't be worth the wait, guys.
 
I know the Extended Edition is coming next year, but I really like the Ultimate Edition slipcover so I picked that up. Those "Trask Files" look like it has pretty generic info so I passed on that.
