Edge of Tomorrow DVD/BD Deals?

Edge of Tomorrow is coming out on Blu-ray and DVD. Any good deals for this?
Target:

Exclusive Steelbook Edition - $27.99 (Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

2 Disc - $24.99 (Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

3 Disc - $29.99 (3D, Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

Best Buy:

Exclusive Extra Footage Edition - $19.99 (Blu-ray)

2 Disc - $19.99 (Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

3 Disc - $27.99 (3D, Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

Amazon:

2 Disc - $19.99 (Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

3 Disc - $27.99 (3D, Blu-ray/DVD/Digital)

Pick your poison. I am actually going for the Target one because I think the steelbooks look pretty nice. I recently got the Captain America 2 steelbook as well as the Transformers one.

I like how they're trying to trick us by rebranding the movie "Live Die Repeat".  Be interesting if this works, maybe we'll see a lot more movies that did poorly in theaters try this.

It did okay. Barely broke $100 million in the US.
$369.2 million overall on a $178 million budget. Not a flop, but a rather weak success, especially when you include the money spent on marketing and promotion (although perhaps they didn't spend all that much, as I never heard much about it until it was on the crap screens).

All these "sales" are only two or three dollars off regular price. There's a real good chance they'll be some better deals on this during the Thanksgiving-Christmas frame.

They don't keep all the money from the ticket sales either, so not all of that $369 million went to the studio.

It's a great movie though. Hopefully it sells well on DVD/Bluray

They spent over $100 million marketing this thing, so even the disappointing foreign gross wasn't enough to save it.  I've heard it was a VERY good movie as well, but they screwed this movie so bad releasing it when they did.  It released up against the Fault In Our Stars which took most of the female audience, who in turn dragged a lot of boyfriends away for that crucial opening weekend.  Top off you still had Maleficient and X-Men doing fairly well, and this movie already had a huge uphill climb.

The knockout punch came a couple of weeks later with the latest Bayformers movie, which sadly sealed this movie's fate.  Hoping it finds an audience on Blu-Ray, although I'm definitely waiting for the price to drop because a lot of these movies have been dropping fast.  Transcendence is already $15 retail!

I thought it wasn't a rebranding. It's still called Edge of Tomorrow, however, they are shoving the slogan in everyone's faces by putting it on the cover and on the sidebar. The slogan was Live Die Repeat. Movie was called Edge of Tomorrow. Albeit it should have been called All You Need is Kill

I agree they should have kept it as All You Need Is Kill like they did in Japan. While you are correct about the slogan, they actually rebranded it Live Die Repeat. They still keep Edge of Tomorrow in small letters but all the covers put emphasis on Live Die Repeat.

Should've just kept it. There was a reason it was titled all you need is kill. Live, Die, Repeat is a terrible title for a movie. "Ay honey what should we get from redbox?" "I don't know, that one movie live die repeat sounds so awesome." or even better "What was that one movie where the character lived, died and was forced to repeat?" "Ugh live die repeat?

At least Live Die Repeat gives you a good idea of what the movie is about, unlike Edge of Tomorrow, which tells you nothing. I remember seeing the trailer for this, and it looked like it might be good, except I forgot the name, and it didn't register when I saw this title on the marquee at the multiplex. If it was called LDR, I'd probably have seen it, and so would lots of others.

Sad thing is, this will probably discourage any more big budget movies that do more than shiny boom boom. Sure, SW E7 is going to fall into that category, but they'll just say it's the SW brand and bring more movies that don't require subtitles overseas, because who cares what the characters are saying?

They spent alot of money on marketing but for a new high budget ip that's expected. A second film shouldn't cost nearly as much so the profits would be much higher. I'm looking foward to red boxing it today :D

Pick it up and it rung $27.99 and had Target adjust it. So watch out. Got there right when they open and there was about 10 on the shelf

Same here. Rang up $27.99. They grabbed an ad and after a few minutes "decided" to give me the price in the ad after I explained it was not the 3D version.

All You Need is Kill is such a silly name (what does that even mean).  Dont know why people think it's so much better than Edge of Tomorrow.  I agree that trying to rename the movie Live, Die, Repeat is also silly but at least it gives you an idea what the movie is about.

It was a good movie.  Glad I caught it before it ended in the theaters.  I don't like any of those titles although LDR makes the most sense as far as identifying the premise of the movie.

Easily my favorite movie of the summer. It was definitely one of those movies that you didn't hear about until like 2 weeks prior to release and couldn't tell if it would be good or not.

"All You Need is Kill" sounds like a Japanese attempt at an English phrase that doesn't translate that well ("all you need to do is kill"?). I don't think it would have worked as the title instead of EoT, though. Live, Die, Repeat would have attracted more attention, though.

I picked up the 3D version, but I'm curious to know what the "Exclusive Extra Footage Edition" that Best Buy has, is.

I would hope that it's extra features and not actual film footage. If it's an extended version of the film or deleted footage, I'd be ticked.   Anyone know?
