Payday free on Steam?

The other day there was a topic saying that Payday would be free on Steam today, October 16.  I checked Steam but it's not free and the topic seems to be gone.  Did this turn out to be untrue?

You need to wait for the deals to refresh at 10 am pacific time.

Thanks.  I did a search, but didn't find it because it was originally on the Video Games Deals board.  Also, it was from several days ago and this thread was just made yesterday.
