Hey buddy! I need Exercise and weight loss advice? Anyone?

Depends on if you do anything now - or if you are starting from scratch.

I suggest to start lifting while cutting your calories. Try to drink more water, that will make this easier. Aim for 500 calories less than you eat now.

Lots of lean protein - chicken, fish, eggs, etc.

If you are a complete newbie to lifting you will be able to get strength and some mass gains while losing fat. After the initial newbie gains it becomes a bit harder.

Even though there are some strange people on there, I suggest checking out bodybuilding.com  It has a huge forum with a big section on losing weight. Lots and lots of threads discussing diets, workout routines, and results. You can grab as a reference some people who started off and see what they did, and try to emulate their program to fit your needs.

Honestly if you are just completely new and starting out, you will see some good results with just cutting your calories, upping your protein intake and lifting heavy (for you). The most important thing is just to stick with it.

I agree with dokstarr. Use my fitness pal app (free), you will get a better range. It even lets you put in food intake calories counter, exercise, daily tracking, can share user name with friends to share progress.

What are your goals?

I've been on both ends of the spectrum---desperately trying to gain and lose weight.

Out of high school I really needed to gain weight to have a legitimate shot at earning an athletic scholarship. Lots of legitimate supplementation (protein, amino acids) and extreme caloric intake helped me get to where I needed to be. However I picked up some really bad dietary habits and after I finished school and changed my lifestyle (less active) I found myself needing to lose all that weight.

I'm not sure what struggle is more difficult but the biggest thing I would recommend is CLEARLY defining a set of realistic goals and outline how you're going to reach them... then all you need to do is get in a routine and find what works for you.
