Of course I'm interested! I can't get enough hockey. I think we should do it on All-Star difficulty with Referee Collision turned on to mix it up a bit. Not sure if that's an option or not.

I don't care what skill level, any is fine.
And you should PM the guys from the last league in case they didn't see this thread--I only saw it because my brother pointed it out to me so there is a chance they missed it.
Also, I think we had a few guys interested who weren't in the last league. I will try to find out who....I think onetrackmind was one of them.

i'm in, and though i would like to take the home town red wings, looks like radjago has claimed them. i'll get back to you tomorrow with the team i want, as it's kind of late and i really don't care to think about it right now.

as far as the league name, i'll try to delete the old league, which will hopefully free up the new league. if not, it could always just be named "caghlsummer" or something.

but yeah, i'm going to bed now. so i want in for sure, and i'll let you know about the team and league and stuff tomorrow night or monday.

I'm not really worried about the league name in the game site. I just wanted to be sure you didn't mind us calling it that here.

I was thinking of getting the game since I'm finally become interested in hockey, ironically thanks to the strike. I'll go out and buy it if the league is confirmed. I'm not sure what team I'd play as (I need a decent one to make up for not knowing shit about hockey) but for now, I'll just say the Toronto Maple Leafs.
 
The league is filled now. I just need to start the league up and give people a couple of days to sign in and select their confirmed team. Mattyoung, I can let you know if there is a cancellation or someone quits. This will hopefully be a very quick and short league, so if you miss out, we can hopefully start up a new, bigger, and better league when the new game is released.

Ideally we can get all our games in early, so the schedule can be advanced. If they aren't, then the season will go over into the release of 2k6 and I don't think that would be much fun.
 
Wow--we had a good response to this. It's a shame we had to shut some guys out (Matt Young, OTM, neckfurters, METH, etc)
At least we know we will have a nice big 2K6 league!

Yeah. Sorry Matt. We usually have some one drop out for whatever reason. I received the confirmation from cfreeze a little while earlier. I just didn't have time to update the site. If you are still interested, I'll let you know if someone doesn't sign up to begin with or decides to drop.
 
I think I'll buy the game anyway since it's dirt cheap, and I can get some practice in before the 2K6 version (which I loved the demo of at E3) comes out. Also, I can hopefully fill in if anyone drops out.
 
Damn. 6 teams have already signed up for the league. Still waiting on the Lord of Cheapness himself and sighlintbob (I just can't think of a good name for him).

Yeah TJordan. It's a shame we had to keep the league small, but hopefully now we can have a huge 2k6 league. I hope thatstoobad will run it again, as I can already tell, I'm going to mess something up.
 
ok, i signed in as the maple leafs. i figured if i couldn't get the wings, i should stick with one of the original six.

so yeah, good luck to everyone this season. you'll need it (i don't think that's as intimidating as i'm hoping it will be).

That's really funny you chose one of the original 6. I actually thought about doing a league with just the original 6. It would be pretty cool. As long as I didn't get stuck with Chicago. If we ever do that, I call shotgun on the Rangers.

You're still pretty intimidating to me, although not as much as before.

Just waiting on cheapyd to join. As soon as that happens, I'll generate the schedule and get it started. If you're reading this cheapy, let us know if it's going to be a while before you can sign in. I understand that just because you are able to get on the site, it doesn't always mean you have an Xbox accessible to sign in.

Everyone, please post whether or not you play with a headset. I know some who do, but I'm unsure of TJordan, Brad, and a couple of others. Please don't use the excuse that you find it hard to concentrate. I kinda ruins the whole league community when you can't at least chat a little. I understand not everyone has a headset though. Was that pc enough?
 
I can use one, although a lot of the time I can't hear, only talk. Usually if I push real hard on the cord I am able to hear what you guys say. So put me as a yes I guess.
