Buy 2 get 1 free on used games is over. It has been replaced by 25% off used games. Everything in the OP's post is correct and up to date. Maybe put the deals in bold so that people can immediately see what the current deals are.

Got it. As previously stated by many, 25% off will be better anyway... odds of me seeing three games I want at GR are very slim.

Thanks Shipwreck. I am trying to keep my eye out for when deals come up in the thread because I don't really shop at Gamerush often but I will try to keep everything clear in the OP. If all else like Shady mention earlier I will just have to keep up with io postings.
 
I was told yesterday that the 25% extra and the $29.99 preorder deals were over tuesday.
Fine by me. maybe they will come up with a deal that includes Xbox 360

The trade 2 get a pre-order for $29.99 is still in effect. I just used it today. They have not announced an end for that promotion.
 
OP, could you see about fixing those preorder lists links, even though they're a bit outdated? (Man, io has really been slacking, too much preordering, I guess... ;))
 
Anyone know how much Druaga gets at GR? I saw it somewhere in the old thread, but I can't figure out how to get the search to show /what/ post in the 97 pages actually has it.

Perhaps the OP should hold off fixing the links. I'll just update and repost them in this thread, then he can link. Won't be till late tonight though. I AM actually working out here - then in the evening I'm making a Best Buy and TRU run :D. Then I'm working some more :(
 
I asked today if If they would let me trade two in and preorder a 360 game for 40 since the games are going to be 10 bucks more. Sadly they said no, it was worth a try anyways I guess. They guy told me to wait a couple weeks for a new trade in promotion so I guess I'll give it awhile before I trade in all my games for xbox 360 cash.
 
Was the trade-in and get an extra 25% suppose to end yesterday? I just got back from GR and they are still doing that deal and the 2 for 29.99 deal. Also Burnout did not come in today, he said to expect it tomorrow as usual.

Yeah, it's true. Forza is now $18.75 used! :D I just got back from my local GameRush and picked up:

Interesting. Too bad I am out of town - my GR is usually behind on the deals, which means they might still have the bonus going as well. But probably not by the time I get back.

Catwoman - I passed up a $0.99 copy of that at a Best Buy today because someone here posted the pathetic trade-in value - figured I'd leave it for some poor sap who might actually want the game :D. It is also POX at EB. Technically you shouldn't get the bonus or preorders off a $1 game, but that, as always, is YMMV (and that 25 cent bonus is key!). You didn't say if you got 2 preorders out of those 4 games - I've done it in the past with "disqualified" games. :D

perfect Dark will be $50 so I guess the preorder should work.
 
io and botticus I have updated the original post with the pre-order list from the previous thread so you won't have to waste time trying to get the old links to work. Like I said in the update tell me when the release dates change so I can update the OP.

Anyone know when GR is supposed to get Burnout Revenge and Burnout Legends? I have both pre-ordered, and I've heard a few different days. Thanks!

Yes, they will take the game with the hole punched in the UPC but I don't know the trade-in value. I know from experience because I traded in a copy of Sly 2 with a hole punched in the UPC and they still took it.

I just got one preorder - Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance since I only took in 2 games. I just asked about F-zero and Catwoman, since I can find them cheap at another store (not Best Buy though, I couldn't find anything at that clearance sale).

I didn't get the bonus trade-in deal, but the employee asked if I had another game so I could qualify for that deal. This GR typically doesn't follow most of the rules: they combine deals, they have started deals as soon as they get their maps in instead of waiting for the official start date, any current gen game qualifies (meaning they don't care about old sports game or that minimum trade value rule) etc. Basically they will run any deal as long as you have the right number of games and the system takes the deal's bar code.

Also I know of at least 2 employees at this store will call people when their preorders come in if either of those employees work that day. The other local GR's I visit are completely opposite. No calling when preorders come in, no combining deals, really slow on trade-ins, etc.

According to the official GAMERUSH website....9/14/05. My GR usually gets new releases Tuesday or Wednesday. Didn't check today, but tomorrow I will for sure since I want to trade in NFL STreet PSP and Burnout 3 to pre-order Madden PSP (and get my Burnout Revenge & Legends)

Anyone know what MK:KE gets also? ALSO, can I keep the bonus disc and trade just the game?
 
I guess tomorow I find out if they are going to make me pay the extra ten dollars on the copy of burnout revenge i pre-ordered before they changed the price from 39.99 to 49.99. If they do I'm going to go buck wild.

oh and does anyone know what otogi 2 trades for?
 
I called my GR and they got bURNOUT revenge in. I think the guy made a mistake though because he said they only got 1 copy in. I am heading towards my GR so hopefully I can find out then.

mine told me its coming out on the 16th. i really hate my gamerush i have to wait a week or 2 to get my preorders.
 
Man, that sucks. I'm getting my copy tomorrow. Do you know why your GR receives games so late? Are they located in Mexico? :p
 
does anybody know if GR will get metal gear solid:subsistence, and if so, when? if they are getting it for sure, i'd like to trade in my original version asap. thanks in advance! :D

I used to have that problem, too. After talking to the district manager (he was in the store I went to the other day), I got some clarification:

The release dates in the Blockbuster computers are for the non-GR stores. Stores with GameRushes in them pay extra, like EB and GameStop do, to get games early. That means that if they have it in stock, they're supposed to be able to sell it to you.

There are exceptions of course, but often employees told me the wrong thing over the phone. Last week Wednesday, for example, I called about Radiata Stories. They said they had them already but couldn't sell them until Friday. The district manager said that should not happen, and the store's manager concurred.

Well apparently the gamerush I go to doesn't pay extra to get their games early. I had the same problem with wwe day of reckoning 2. I went in a week after and they still didn't have it. Luckily they let me switch the preorder to nfu:mw for the xbox360 without any extra charges. Im going to try to get burnout revenge switched over the the 360 friday if they still haven't received the game.

Take the game in disc-only. They have always given me the same amount for disc-only as for "complete". This way you can forget about the punched-out barcode altogether...
 
O woe is me, I'm about to run out of previous trade credit and I still haven't had my ban removed. If I can't trade games at GR I won't be able to buy anything there anymore, they have sooo much of my money already, and I have so many games to trade...

Why o why was I treated so unfairly!!!!
 
Here's a stupid question regarding the $29.99 pre-order dealy. How far in advance do you have to pre-order? For instance, Burnout Legends comes out Thursday - can I go in tomorrow (Wednesday) and do the deal?

YMMV on that....since that game is actually released tomorrow according to GR's website. They actually should have them in-store (hopefully)
 
I was wondering if you can preorder far cry instincts for the xbox and are they allowing preorders for 360 games?

That sucks... STILL banned? I figured it would be a short-term thing. Well, you can get some good trade value at EB these days, but you probably already know that :D.

Yes, you can preorder Far Cry: Instincts, and it's YMMV on preorders for Xbox 360 games.

I think I did - but I can't pick it up till Saturday so you'll find out before me. I'm pretty confident that at my GR they wouldn't try to charge me another $10. I'm sure it will be a hassle and will take 10-15 minutes to fix (if it is even a problem), but they'll do it :D.
