Okay my strength was up to like 225, and i went into some cave and i think an enemy used a spell on me cos as i was fighting him it said lost willpower, lost strength, and then i was carring too much stuff. I look at my ratings and they are both in red. Are these going to go away after a set time and go back to normal?

And whats with them trying to arrest me for stolen goods? All i have that was stolen are notes from that paranoid guy. Then i left them at my castle and they still try to arrest me.

Finally completed the last contract to achieve the Guardian rank in the Fighters' Guild. I also gained access to the University (Mages'), and have created a open very hard lock spell, as well as enchanted a couple items.

I'll never get tired of this game.

Ive been playing the crap out of this so far.

My strength still hasnt gone back to normal, i think it may be in illness and need a cure. Ya think? Ive spent like 7 days in jail + more time on top of that and its still not back to normal.

I think ive mainly been doing side missions. Ive only locked 1 gate, found 2 more but didnt attempt to lock those. I like to walk/ride my way around, unless ive been to a place before, then i will warp to it.

Im trying to figure out how to level up more. Right now im just doing it naturally as it comes to me. But i cant do any speechcraft because it says im maxed, and wont let me play that little game.

EDIT, i guess my speechcraft was maxed out because you can only talk to someone for so long. Then i can talk to others and play the mini game.

Yeah their disposition gets maxed out if you play the game for a while. After that it's all spells and bribing to sweet talk your way in to whatever.

If you've got an illness, go to a chapel and use that little well altar thing. That cures most everything except fulll blown Vampirism (And AIDS)

I burned up the Hist tree in the Blackwood Company last night. The flame effects were pretty cool. Still haven't figured out how high (number-wise) my armorer skill has to be in order to fix my magical items myself. I'm still a Journeyman at like level 42, but how many freaking times do I have to fill the experience meter?

Edit: I guess I have to get to level 50 in Armorer to get bumped to the next mastery level.

I second that, it prevented me from becoming a vampire or having to create the potion to stop this. Maybe on my second playthrough.;)

I've been playing as a vampire the whole time. It's not as bad as I had thought it would be. You just have to feed every couple days to avoid the sun damage effect. You do get some perks by playing as a vamp, also.

Can someone tell me what Charge means? If i look at one weapon it says 194/500 charge Uses: 11. What does that mean and how do i get it fully charged? It has 98 health, so its not that damaged.

I think you use soul gems to charge weapons. Uses 11 means it uses 11 points every time you use the weapon.

The condition of your weapon is still at 98% health. You can use it 11 more times before the charge completely runs out. You'll have to use soul gems to recharge, and get it fixed by someone who fixes armor.

You can also find a mage in some of the mage's guilds that will recharge the magic for a fee.

Man i love magic, last night i started using them more and found one to give my body light so i can see in caves, i have health restore...but its minor, i also have very easy lock pick and easy lock pick. LOL. Right now im going to all the towns trying to get letters of recommendation from the mage guilds. I think i have one left.

Are the oblivion gates random? Because i went into one, then reloaded and went into the same one again and i was not in the same area i was in before.

Yes they are random and that's funny as I'm doing the recommendations as well but lost track of how many I did or have left. I use healing and fire/frost damage along with my warrior so sorta like a paladin I guess.

Ok i have a question. I have the spell Heal Minor Wounds. Which is great. But does this make my 41 Weak potion of healing useless, along with any other healing potions? I ask because id sell them since i can just use magic to heal myself. But i didnt want to sell them all and then find out i need, or can use these potions down the line for something valuable.

If you have 41 of them, sell about 30 or 35, and keep the others in case of emergency. Making your own healing potions is much more money efficient than using the potions of healing that you find. Sell those for the most part and stick to the healing spells and your homemade potions.

Here is some just random helpers

1.make your own potions by combining items found on your journeys. PICK THE FLOWERS!
2. while going to a new town.... jump, roll, or swim. Just keep doing this Every time you land jump again.. You will level up fast.
3. Learn to use helaing magics and starlight magics. It helps to see in the dark and not have to carry a torch.
4. Try sweet talking everyone....money helps too.
5. Bargin on everything. You can get rich just selling things for a little higher.
6. Store stuff in the horse shadow mane. Kill the horse and stick stuff in the corpse. You need it back... kill the damn horse take your stuff out. He will never DIE. just wait awhile he gets back up. Your stuff will never disapper. He is your personal luggage case. "And I though he smelled bad on the outside!"

All this talk about obivion made me want to play it again! Guess I have another 90 hours I can throw away! This game nver getts old. This will be my third or forth time. I like being some one different everytime.

Time to do a evil mage!

Oh yeah, and NEVER invest time to level up your Lockpicking skill. Waste of time.

Not really too much point in investing time in perfecting a "see in the dark" skill considering the Thieves Guild will take care of that for you. 8-)

I'd also recommend doing Thieves Guild THEN Dark Brotherhood. Makes DB a lot easier, especially stuff like killing Roderick.

actually now that I think about it. I have never actually completed this game any time I have played it. I allways get to where you are closing the gates and I put it down for awhile and trade it off or move on to something eles. Then I get it back and make a new character and do something different.

Ive been a quick and light armored elf. Used a bow and acrobat style. good. Thevies guild.

Then I was a knight in heavy armor used a sword average between good and bad. fighters guild

Then I started as a rouge/badass mostly leaning to fully bad. Brother hood of darkness( only finished a couple of missions)

I need to be all out evil mage now and do the mages guild. maybe a dark elf

I haven't done the dlc yet.....maybe this time as well.

I think I'm about 82 hours in now. I'm trying to focus on getting the Mages guild shit completed, and then maybe Thieves. I haven't really done too much in the main campaign (only closed the first gate and escorted the king's son to the mountain stronghold).

The loot/weapons definitely get better when you get ranked up higher. I'm now a level 50 Armorer, but I still can't fix magic weapons. WTF is up with that?
