Well i've been playing DOAXBVB for like two weeks now and getting the hang of it. Graphics are amazing and the music tracks are pretty good (the choice of using custom music tracks are great)..


Its pretty good but it seems too short... I haven't bought all the outfits yet but it has a lot of potientals. Yes I have seen the DOAX2 trailer for the 360 and it looks impressive. Anyone else have this game?
 
I have the game. The gift giving and character interaction is pretty dfferent from any other game I can think of. The volleyball isn't bad but it could use a little fine tuning. The custom soundtracks make a huge difference in this game. That's one of my favorite aspects of the game.

And the graphics are just awesome. :)

I am looking forward to the second game, I just hope the gameplay is a little less rigid.
 
I just got an Xbox today as a matter of fact, and this was one of the games I got. I've only played about 10 minutes of it, and so far I like it a lot. It has a lot going for it; VERY fun volleyball engine, nice interaction between the various characters, and boobies. Three key ingredients to any successful venture in life.
 
I spent a long time with this game. Long enough to write a FAQ for it for GameFaqs. :lol:

I can't wait until the next one is released.
 
Strictly from the gameplay perspective (T&A excluded) what's better - Outlaw Volleyball or DOAXBV?

Not that I'm opposed to T&A in my games. :joystick:

Yeah. That part reminded me of Vegas Stakes on the SNES.
 
I like the volleyball and casino part (not too hot on the gift giving part/partner recruiting part) but wish it had a 4 player option. It would've made a great party game! I'm sure doax2 will fix that.

anyway, the volleyball part does for volleyball what Table tennis did for ping pong! Although, there's not as much strategy as TT.

On my both of my XBOXes I have Jpop, R&B, and Rap. What I mostly remember was Jay-Z poppin tags and Excuse me miss.
I'm thinking about going back to play this one, but it's too tedious to go back. It's a really chill out kind of game. After I sent back my old XBOX I was pissed because I just got Ayane to wear the venus.

I wish this game had more unlockables... btw what is the most expensive outfit over 500k? I can never seem to unlock anything over 500k and what is offered is not that great for 500k

Lisa has the most expensive costumes. The venus is 1,000,000 and she has the V bikinis for 780,000. If you want the easiest game and the most revealing costumes, play Lisa. If you're looiking to complete the collections for all 7 girls (insane if you are) just know that aside from Lisa, it's really hard to get any of the girls to be liked by Tina.

looks like they are going to use the most impressive boob physics this time around...check out Kasumi's boob movements



btw-do you think they should ever apply more realistic skin textures (similar to half life 2) ? I understand they couldn't do it with the original series because of limitations, but that plastic look sometimes just doesn't work.
 
If I counted up all of the hours spent playing multiplayer games with friends, DOAX would easily be in at least the top five most played if not higher for me. The game looks great, I love the upbeat soundtrack, and it is easy and addictive to play. We just sort of zone out for several hours at a time with it every few weeks. It is good for the soul.

I had seen the regular trailer but not the HD one.

you know this game would be a good reason to buy a 360 :)

if they are adding much more depth into this game (i read somewhere it would take like 60+ hrs PER GIRL to complete).

but knowing me I won't get the 360 til it reaches under 200 bucks, by that time DOA 4 and DOAX2 should be 19.99

I just wish the price of HDTV's would drop quick. That and the price of the 360 (and its hardware problems) are the reasons why I don't have a 360 :|
 
I still consider this my all time favorite Xbox game. Everyhting else other than Ninja Gaiden was really lacking on the Xbox. Glad there's a sequal comming out.

oh no...i could play a girl in a like less then 5 hours. The new game is said to have more side games to make it last longer.
 
if anyone thinks DoAXBV is a short game, go back and play it. The game needs alot of time invested in it to really get the bulk of everything... and by everything I mainly mean the bathing suits. I easily had over 90 hours invested in the game.

I had 100+ hours and wasn't even close.
The line up for each girls swimsuits changes each day. Just check the swimsuit place each day. Good luck on trying to get another girl to wear that.

what pisses me off is that when you offer the girl a suit and they are like "ooooh ok thanks..." then that night they throw away a 500k suit :( I get pissed.

exactly. I still consider this game to be one of the hardest out there ever released, contrary to popular beleif. Itagaki said the next game will be slightly easyer in terms of gift giving which is a huge plus, since I had a hard ass time getting the girls most of their stuff.

I don't know how live play would be unless they make the gameplay a little more robust. I would prefer a playing view similar to Outlaw Volleyball for an online match.

DOAX 2 could be really good if it's essentially Mario Party with tits. The problem with the first game is that the only decent part was the volleyball, and that was half-assed. If Itagaki really is devoting more time to this one though and plans to give the games a little more to them, then the game could be really fun. Those videos do look promising though... the jet ski portion especially.

jet ski plays like a bigger brother of Wave Race 64. so be happy. Plus, every aspect from the first game has been improved here in the second. Heck, the girls actually join you now when going to the casino, and I think that the casino may possibly be Live enabled for all you vegas junkies.
 
ok.......i rewatched those videos......the slightest movement made by the chick makes them bounce around like they were doing jumping jacks.........ok.........the only time boobs need to bounce is during runnings, jumping jacks and so on, but not slight body movement........ the animators need to go back and fix this or else everyone will think there boobs are full of water :( Well at least they fixed the hair interaction

fix??? FIX?!!?? :lol: this is a huge improvement IMHO. Ever since DoA3, the boob physics sucked. Itagaki even stated that the reason for the crazy physics in this game is his way of remembering DoA1, no joke.

they need to put motion capture points on the boobs when they do the sessions. Since when was the last time you saw boobs move that fast/bouncy in real life at the slightest movement? Just wait til the gameshark hacks come out for this game, boobs will be flying all over the place :whistle2:O
