Final Fantasy VIII guide for $4.95(+s/h)

I found these guides listed on a site I used to find some harder to find games on, called Chips & Bits. They used to advertise in EGM and the rest of the gaming mags ALL the time back in the 16 bit era.

It would seem that they have a bunch of OLDER guides on their site, as Banjo Tooie and Diddy Kong Racing were also available when I wrote this thread up.

However, be warned, as the 'cheapest' method of shipping they use is US Priority Mail, which to ship from their place to my house came to $6.24 on TOP of the price of the guides.

i think the OFFICAL FF 7 and 8 guides have been reprinted.

I just took some guides over to a used game place in town and they had 20 of each lying on the floor

Interesting - could that mean a reprint of the games is coming soon too?

Doubtful.. the guides have been plentiful for awhile. I assume that Bradygames publishes the guides themselves and continue to do so because the games still have moderate/high demand.

Linking directly to pages on the site doesn't seem to be working, but there's an interesting price mistake - they've reversed the prices on Donkey Konga 2 and DK2 w/ bongos. Go to www.chipsbits.com, click on Gamecube, and then click on Gamecube Dance. DK2 w/ bongos is $20 - not bad if you haven't been able to find them at Sears, TRU or CompUSA.
