FREE Greenies Dog Biscuit

These are supposed to be good for a dog's breath/cleen teeth, but my dog consistently pukes them up. I kind of gave up on them after a few tries. I think they might be a little too big for my dog, as he's really small.

Thank you. Everyone in my house thanks you for helping to cure our dog's terrible breath. Hopefully they work.

Be warned, your dog may go utterly insane over these things. They're like doggie crack. The first time my sister brought some home her Rhodesian Ridgeback just got a whiff and start going nuts, doing every trick he new to try to earn whatever she had that smelled so wonderful.

Ridgebacks, as a breed, believe they are constantly on the verge of death from starvation, so they tend to overreact to this kind of thing. But even the newer dog, a Border Collie who has very low food motivation, goes nuts for Greenies.

There have been a high number of dog deaths do to choking from greenies. There is currently a class action lawsuit over them from owners who lost pets. If I remember correctly the company who makes them was just bought recently and the new owners are trying to due damage control, including changing how hard the product is, free samples, coupons, etc.

Yeah, there has been some controversy surrounding Greenies. There have been reports of choking and more alarming that they do not break down in a dog's digestive tract. A Google search will reveal these. That said, we've been giving them to our dog for years and he loves them. The advice we received from our vet was to give them sparingly, as special treats, and to make sure that we're supervising him when he's eating them (which is good advice for any chew toy or treat you give your dog, as choking is always a possibility no matter the hardness or size of the object). He chews them up pretty thoroughly before swallowing, so I'm not too worried.

Yea, my dog also chews it more like a toy than a dog treat, and I've probably given them to my dogs for a couple years and they are doing just fine.

According to a recent press release, S &M NuTec, the maker of Greenies dog treats, says it plans to change its packaging in response to complaints from some pet owners and veterinarians that the treat may pose a health hazard to some dogs. S&M NuTec also said it may remove a claim that Greenies are fully edible, saying its own studies show a dog can digest up to 85% of the treat.

When the manufacturer's spin is "it's 85% digestible" you ought to be very cautious.

Yep. Free or not, my dog won't be getting one.
You feed your grandma dog treats? Deplorable.
Only when she won't eat her catfood.

Yikes, I got 3 of these in the mail today and just gave my dog one. It will be her last. I'm not taking any chances for 2 free biscuits.

I hate my wifes dog so I signed her up to get it. My wife buys them sometimes anyway so if it dies it's not really my fault.

Edit: Oh yeah and I got mine today.

LMFAO! Dang.
I got the greenies today. My dog liked it, however... I broke it up into smaller pieces so he doesn't choke. Lol.

Beware! Dogs have also been killed by water, dirt, air, and hugging!

YOU NEED TO KNOW!!!

i got mine a few days ago. My girlfriend's tiny toy poodle loved it and had no problem eating it. Thanks OP.

A common treat killing puppies, could it be in YOUR dog's mouth?.....

...find out at 11

Thanks OP

On a side note, do you know how much of a stick of celery (besides the water content) is digestable by a human? Almost none of it. DUN,DUN,DUUUUUUN!

I think these are different. I got mine today and I always used to give my dog the green ones shaped like toothbrushes. These are acutal cookies (maybe a new type). He enjoyed them.

Yeah my wife came home and gave them to her dog and I was dissapointed these weren't the killer kind. These are just regular milk bone like biscuits. Stupid dog.
