PRIZE:
* a. One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, which will consist of the Grand Prize Winner's choice of one of the two following options:
o (i) The Grand Prize Winner will plan an itinerary ("Itinerary") through PriceGrabber.com (the "Site") for a trip to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands (the "Region"), consisting of roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations for the Winner and any number of guests, and deliver the proposed Itinerary, prior to any booking or purchase by Winner of the airfare or hotel accommodations, to Sponsor, together with the Affidavit referenced in Paragraph 4, above. Following receipt of the Itinerary and Affidavit, and subject to Winner's compliance with all other provisions of these Official Rules, Sponsor will deliver a check to Winner in the amount of $3,500. The foregoing $3,500 shall be paid to Winner regardless of the actual cost of the items set forth in the Itinerary or subsequently purchased by Winner, and in no event will any additional sum be due Winner, even if the actual cost of the airfare and hotel accommodations exceeds $3,500. Winner will be solely responsible for booking and payment of all travel arrangements as reflected in the Itinerary or otherwise. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a digital camera and a guidebook to the destination chosen by Winner (the book to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion). The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $3,720; or
o (ii) Within 7 days of receiving notification that he or she is a potential Grand Prize Winner, Winner will advise Sponsor in writing of his or her preferred destination, which must be a city in the Region (and a first and second alternate preferred destination), together with his or her preferred dates for travel and, at Winner's option, the name of a guest, who must be at least 18 years of age, to accompany Winner on the trip, and Sponsor will then book and pay for roundtrip coach airfare and standard hotel accommodations (i.e., one room/two people) for Winner and the guest, if any, to the destination. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to book and pay for a destination other than the preferred or alternate destination selected by Winner (but within the Region), or to book the travel for dates other than those preferred by Winner. The selection of air carrier and hotel accommodations will be in Sponsor's sole discretion. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a digital camera and a guidebook to the destination ultimately awarded to Winner (the book to be selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion). The Grand Prize does not include any reimbursements for ground transportation, meals, or incidental expenses, and no payment will be made by Sponsor for these items. The approximate retail value of the Grand Prize is $3,720, but this amount is subject to adjustment based upon the destination ultimately awarded Winner.
* b. Four (4) First Place Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a digital camera. The approximate retail value of the First Place Prize is $200.
* c. Twenty (20) Second Place Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a guidebook to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands. Winner will select his or her preferred destination from among these destinations and Sponsor will select the publication for such destination in its sole discretion. The approximate retail value of the Second Place Prize is $20.00. No other sums whatsoever are payable or reimbursable to Winners or guest. Prize is not transferable (except that the Grand Prize Winner may invite a guest as provided above) and no cash or Prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor. Any expenses incurred in receipt and use of the Prize, as well as all federal, state and local taxes and fees applicable in connection with the Prize awarded, including income tax, sales tax and license fees, are the sole responsibility of Winner.
