Where to buy Xbox 360 HD DVD drive?

EB has them for pre orders only. They have 300 units and 200+ have been pre ordered. This is the last week to get them. No speciel deal or anything on it.

idontknow69 what the hell r u talkin about? HD DVD is the next gen just like Xbox360, Wii, and PS3. HD DVD and Blue Ray have better picture on HDTV than dvds. Normal dvds can hold only 4.7GB(8.5 on dual layer), HD DVD can hold over 40GB on a dual layer disc!!! HD DVD is next gen of dvds. The picture would be better(I've seen a vid from gametrailers that shows the difference) and HD DVDs can fit 8-9 times more.

HD DVDs aren;t mainstream yet, and they might never be, its a gamble
plus games aren't gonna support it
 
Please do not respond to this thread if you do not like HD DVD because that is not our topic.

I checked with my local EB and they're getting it on the 12th. Bestbuy said they're getting it but don't have a date yet.
 
Future Shop has it, and this week you get both King Kong the HD DVD and King Kong the game with it free.
 
The Future Shop ad says released 21st Nov, although "some stores may get it earlier". I figure it would be best to call and check before making the trip.

I didn't notice that, 2 locations in the niagara, ontario region had lots of them in stock.
 
I just got mine thru amazon in the us and it looks awesome, if you can afford it I would jump on it or as M$ says jump in.
 
I just saw the futureshop flyer. They will have the Xbox 360 HD dvd drive for $199 + HD dvd King Kong and Xbox360 King Kong game on November 21st!
 
I got mine at sams club (not sure if canada has a sams club) for $181.92 I believe like $194 wish 7% sales tax. Awesome product imo
 
Theres a ton of them around I thought...don't know why anyone would spend the money on one though. Thought I saw them for around 200 dollars which is absolutely insane.
 
It is worth the effort to find one. It truely looks amazing, and the upconversion factor on standard DVDs seems to be even better than using the standard 360 drive tray (I use VGA cables). Seriously, since I got this thing, DVD no longer exists for me. It either comes out on HD, or I don't care. I bought mine at EB, happened to luck out on a canceled preorder.
